Need a male card?

I was playing around with the Take a Ticket wheel recently and did quite a few tickets, and then had the question of what to use them for!!  So a threw a few onto a couple of cards for the men in my life.  These are not really the best cards I've ever made (I don't really like them very much), but for the men I'm sending them to, I think they will be just fine!

More Bouncing Brayer

Remember the seagull card I did using the Bouncing Brayer Technique?  You can click here to see that original post, but here is another card I have created bouncing the brayer down my card using varying shades of similar colours.

It makes a great backgound for a simple card!!

Ribbon ideas for Flowers

This is a fabulous idea for creating flower ribbons.  This card is inspired by a project in our catalogue on page 44.  My adaptation uses a new embossing folder from our hew Holiday Catalogue - so here is a little sneak peek for you!!  It is called Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The wonderful thing about this project, though, is the flower.  I have punched a 1" circle from our adhesive sheets, and taken off one side to pop onto a punched white pansy.  Then I removed the other side off the adhesive sheet and wound the ruffle stretch trim around and around until the circle was covered.  I then squashed the ribbon down flatter on the outside edge - and it looks fabulous!!!

Love Butterflies?

Don't you think butterflies make a project look so lovely?  This project I have CASED from Sophie at our Convention in May - her work is so beautiful and I have been inspired to emulate her work before too.

I have stamped the postcard stamp directly onto the canvas again, and then added the die cut butterflies and buttons with crystal effects...... LOVE it!!

Postcard on Canvas

This little 3d project is a CASE from the catalogue on page 204 and I have stamped directly onto a small canvas, and then watercoloured around the edge of the stamped image so that it looks similar to the one in the catalogue.

Simply Sketched Watercolouring

This is my favourite of the projects I have made in frames - AND I really love how a bit of watercolouring can make me look like an artist!!

The background paper is from Venetian Romance DSP, and the bird is from Simply Sketched and is painted onto watercolour paper and mounted onto Smokey Slate cardstock.  A little bit of linen thread with an antique trinket pin attached.  Love it.

Open Day Display

I took only a few photos of the display I made for my open day - but here are a few for you to look at!!

We had a lovely day, and I have to thank Robyn and Catherine for their help and support on the day.

I also have to thank all of you for coming along and making the day a really special day too!!

Altered Tray

This idea for an altered Tray I got from my friend Geordie quite a while ago but I really enjoyed actually having a go at creating it!!  I put some Epic Day Dsp on the base of the white painted tray, and then put in a few embellishments.

I picked up a few "left over" pieces from my desk and added them to my tray along with a couple of punched flowers which I scrunched to make them more lifelike.

I really enjoyed doing this project - it was fun and happy!!

Make a Statement Digital Tour, Brisbane

Recently I had the privilege of going to the My Digital Studio class in Brisbane where I learnt SO MUCH about using this program to do scrapbooking and lots of other projects too!!  So far I have not done very much with my MDS - only about 6 pages I think, so I really needed this injection of inspiration and encouragement to do some more!!

I learnt some great tips and tricks and I was also totally inspired by some of the displays that Stampin' Up! had from other demonstrators!!  So much talent!!

This is the display of projects by Rebecca Ross - she showed us how she created all these awesome little projects and certainly WOWED me with her skill and creativity!!

Sometimes I get so caught up in the scrapbooking thing, that I forget that I can use the MDS just to create wonderful posters and words - just like this!!  Don't you love it!!!

There were some pretty awesome cards on display too.

I loved what we did in the class with Sarah Klass - she is a very talented computer person!!

I've taken photos of a lot of the pages - hopefully I can refer back to them for inspiration!!  So so beautiful!!!

I love these two!!
