My nametag

I've made my name tag for our Stampin' Up! day in Brisbane this weekend.... and I have to say, I'm so pleased with it!!  I've made it with one of my favourite colours Coastal Cabana - which I used for the letters of my name and for the Butterfly.

My background piece is Pool Party stamped with I Love Lace in white and heat embossed with white powder.  The collage stamping comes from Butterfly Basics.

I'm most pleased with my name - I used the Wondrous Wreath framelits, and the Hello You framelits for my letters - J from the word Joy, u from'you', l from 'hello', i cut down from the u in 'you', and a from 'happy'.  How cool is that!!!!

Butterfly Basics Notebook Gift

I have discovered that this stamp set Butterfly Basics is a great stamp set for collage stamping - giving that lovely vintage shabby chic look.  To make my notebook gift, I stamped some of the images in my background with White and Black Stazon Ink,

Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

and then I added my feature greeting coming from the From My Heart stamp set over the top.

I hope you are inspired by my gift to go ahead and make your own handmade gifts for friends and family!

SUO Valentine

I have made a card for my lovely hubby, who is not really a 'frilly' sort of a guy - consequently the card is quite simple.  I've used the 'love' from the So You stamp set, as well as the little heart in the bottom right corner.  My 'you' comes from the Hello You thinlets dyes, and I've also used the On Frame framelits for my Polaroid snapshot of the greeting.

This little cute heart comes from the You Brighten My Day FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set, and I've punched it out with the Itty Bitty Heart punch, and mounted it on some of the Best Year Ever Accessory pack ribbon.

My finishing touch is an arrow punched from the What's Up punch.  My colours are Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Island Indigo.  I'm thinking my darling should 'love' his card very much!!!

Love is Kindness

More colouring - this time with blendabilities - and this gorgeous single stamp which I've coloured with cherry cobbler, and rich razzleberry blendabilites.

I have cased the card out of our lovely Occasions Catalogue - only changing the colours.

A Happy Thing

I've been trying out some different watercolouring techniques and for this card I've coloured my little bird with markers for the line image, and then coloured in using an aqua painter and a little bit of extra ink..... what do you think?

Adventure Bound Paper Stack

This lovely paper stack has some FANTASTIC images and I have made some very simple masculine cards using the DSP as the focal point of each card.  This one features brick work, and I have added Chocolate Chip and Cajun Craze.

I have coordinated cardstock to suit the colours on each piece of DSP.  I have also cut each piece of the DSP in half, so I can get two cards from each sheet in the paper stack - that makes 96 cards!!!! (if I wanted to use the whole paper stack for guy cards!!!)

This card is a lovely green - my photography doesn't really show it to it's best advantage, but the cardstock I've used is Garden Green and Pear Pizzaz.

The stamped image comes from Butterfly Basics.

.

This lovely paper features rocks and my cardstock is Smoky Slate and Basic Grey

My stamped image comes from By the Tide.

And this watery card uses Bemuda Bay and Island Indigo cardstock with the little fish from By the Tide.

Don't they make a lovely set all together!!

25th Anniversary Wishes

The 25thWedding Anniversary is a silver anniversary - so when I made this card I went ALL OUT with the silver!!  I've used Memorable Moments again for my greeting but the rest of the card used any and all silver products I have!!!

The card base is smokey slate, and the DSP comes from Something Borrowed DSP from the new Occasions catalogue.  My silver accents include:  silver glimmer paper for the happy sentiment;  silver foil cardstock embossed with I Love Lace background stamp and the Iridescent Ice embossing powder; silver satin ribbon; silver thin taffeta ribbon; and the sahara sand lace trim from our Occasions catalogue.  I have also stamped the greeting with silver ink and embossed it with the Iridescent Ice powder also.

I love how this card has turned out!!!

More Children's class projects!

At my recent Children's Cardmaking Class, we made these gorgeous little cards featuring the 'oh so gorgeous' images from Hey Valentine.   We didn't make the cards to be valentines cards, but the children really loved colouring the images and adding all the lovely embellishments.

Hey, Valentine Clear Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

This card features some images from the Sale-a-bration stamp set You Brighten My Day, but the children didn't copy this idea - they really loved the Hey Valentines images.

These 2 cards were the most popular ideas - and we had a few fish cards, and a few pirate cards too!!

It's all about the DOTS

I'm totally in the groove with my scrapbooking now!!!

My dots feature in:  the DSP, Carstock, stamping, and punched shapes.

I've used the oh so yummy Best Year Ever DSP (free for Sale-a-bration) and punched some of the gorgeous circle motifs, as well as some coastal cabana punched "dots" too!  I've also used lots of sequin dots along with buttons, and one little circle epoxy dot over the top of some DSP.

My background sheet is some of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (another Sale-a-bration freebie), which I have spritzed with some rubbing alcohol and pool party reinker and bemuda bay reinker.  After spritzing, the lovely little embossed dots show up on the background paper too!!

My journalling panel is punched out of the coreboard and stamped with one of the lovely images from Perpetual Calendar Stamp Set.

I have also stamped the lovely dotty stripes down each side of my dotty vellum.  The dots come from Painted Petals stamp set, and the colours are Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana.
