Stampin' Up! Flourishing Phrases and Flourish Thinlits

These Flourish Thinlit dies are just so gorgeous - here is a CASE of the card on page 49 - I've added the doily behind, but the rest is quite similar.  What do you think?

And then, while I was at the Big Shot running it through with all the dies, I just kept going - so then I need to make a whole heap of cards to use those lovely die cut images!!

Here I've just added a large medallion with some stamping - what do you think?  I quite like this combination of the Mixed Borders stamp set with the Flourishing Phrases 'hello' greeting.

And with this last card, I've tried to be a bit Artsy - and honestly I'm not really sure I've succeeded - but oh well, it's another card on my Flourish Thinlit Dies journey, so really, I did have to add it for you to see!!  What do you think?
The greeting comes from You're My Hero (the fundraising stamp set for RMHC - featured just inside the back cover of the catalogue), and those large flowers are actually from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set - I got so carried away with all the wonderful words and fonts, it took me a while for me to see these gorgeous large blooms!!   Silly me!

Stampin' Up! Flourishes in the Love Chapter #84 CTC

Hello and Welcome back to our Sunday Night blog hop!!  What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday night - especially when we've hit a very cold spell for winter here in Sunny Queensland!!  It might even get down to about 5 degrees Celsius tonight which is mighty cold for us!!

This week we are CASEing the Love and Sympathy Chapter - and this chapter has some of my FAVOURITE new products in it!!

I have absolutely LOVED playing with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the coordinating Flourish Thinlits .... so I've CASED these 2 lovely projects in the catalogue.

My first is a CASE of the card at the bottom of page 51 - I really love the little embellishment cluster at the top of the greeting circles, and so - here is my little creation of this card.

I've used the lovely Rose Wonder stamp set for my greeting, and in the background I stamped Crumb Cake ink with Work of Art and then used my aqua painter to swish and blend the colour around.

My embellishment colours are:  Peekaboo Peach and Emerald Envy along with some of our new Very Vanilla lace trim - and it's so pretty isn't it?

My second card is CASED from the top of page 49 - it's super simple and lovely to make.

I'd had so much fun using my Big Shot with all the lovely framelits, that when I made this card, I really enjoyed using that elaborate flourish stamp - doesn't it look amazing!!

Ok, if you've been inspired by the great projects and ideas in this chapter of the Catalogue, make sure you join in with the fun - there is so much to inspire you!!  When you've made your creation, make sure you add it to our challenge link, and we'll be inspired by your work too!!

Now, it's time for you to keep hopping along with all the great projects from the whole design team!!

And if you wish to see the blog post for CASEing the Catty, simply use this link and you'll see the complete list of all the design team and links to their blogs - enjoy!!

And we'll see you next week again!!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics

Remember the little shadow box I created earlier in the week?  Here are another couple of shadow boxes featuring Butterfly Basics.

I've also used some of the Butterfly thinlits, along with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

This shadow box is slightly larger than my pussy cat box I featured earlier.

And another colour way - not sure which is my favourite yet......

Stampin' Up! Floral Affection Embossing Folders

Isn't this Embossing Folder so lovely?  I love the elegant feel it gives to my card!!

I've combined it with the gorgeous Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the wonderful Flourish Thinlits Dies - so so lovely!!

I'm thinking you'll be seeing LOTS of ideas from me using these divine framelits!!
I hope you like them too!!
(That way, you'll be happy to keep seeing my projects using them, and you'll keep reading my blogs posts!! teeheee)

Stampin' Up! Better Together and InColours

Here's another project I've used to show off the lovely new Incolours.

These were the example cards I used for my cardmaking class at the local Nursing Home.

I'm trying something new - volunteering my time at the Nursing Home and teaching card making - and having fun with the Elders in my local community.

We had a lovely time, and the Elders enjoyed their time creating too - for their very first time, they did pretty well and I'm sure they enjoyed themselves enough to come along again next month too!!

I hope to continue this volunteering, and without the great challenge from Sara at onstage to try something new, I may never have thought of doing this, and it was great fun!!
I hope to be volunteering twice a month at the Nursing home - so I'm adding 2 new events to my calendar each month.  Woohoo!!

Stampin' Up! Pop of Pink for SUO

Hello and Welcome to our challenge this week at SUO - it's time to celebrate our favourite new Stampin' Up! Papers or Cardstock.

I'm on the team at SUO!

So, I'm showing off the lovely Pop of Pink specialty designer series paper.  Now, if you know me, you'll know that I'm so NOT a pink girl BUT, this paper features LOTS of black and white with some pops of pink.  Some of the pages have total Melon Mambo all over it BUT, the other side is all black and white - so in true wonderful Stampin' Up! style, there is something for EVERYONE!!  Gotta love that flexibility!!

I've made a cute little shadow box - there have been a few on the web lately, so I thought I'd give it a try - and using DSP works a treat because the box features both sides of the paper - winner!!
I must acknowledge the lovely plan from Mary Ann Kay Rossiter - it was very clear and easy to follow, thank you Mary.

My box features some gorgeous cats punched and stamped with love from Foxy Friends - who could resist?  Certainly not me!!

Now it's time for you to join in the challenge too!!  Create a project from your favourite new Stampin' Up! paper or cardstock and get into the spirit and fun of the challenge!!  There's a link on the graphic that will send you over to the SUO - Stampin' Up! Only Challenge Blog site.  We look forward to seeing your lovely creations!!

I'm on the team at SUO!

Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles Bundle

Swirly Bird has some amazing design potential - especially for clean and simple cards.

I love this bundle, and I've checked out Pinterest, and CASED a few ideas....

There are lots of great ideas with the roses and wreaths - I can see this being a wonderful resource for Christmas cards.....

These cards are pretty quick to put together - great to have these little beauties good to go for that emergency  card!!

Stampin' Up! CTC#83 Thanks

Hello and Welcome back to our Sunday Night Blog Hop

- and this week we are saying THANKS -
CASEing (Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit)
projects from pages 38 to 43 of our Catalogue

I've been inspired by 2 cards this week!!

My first Card is from the bottom of page 42 - I had just received my Swirly Scribble thinlits, and was very keen to use them - so, I've adapted the card!!

What do you think?  There's not too much to this card and I'm thinking I like the one in the catalogue better.... but it has a nice masculine feel that might be quite useful!!

My second card comes from the same page - 42, and I've converted the gift bag to a card.

And I do like this card better than my other one!!!
I've used Sweet Sugarplum with Rich Razzleberry combined with gold highlights - and it looks so pretty!!

Which card is your favourite?

And while we are in the thanks chapter, Thank YOU for hopping around our blog and checking out all the great projects from the design team - we love sharing with you, and we love your comments, and we love when you join in the challenge each month!!
