Crazy About You for Mother's Day CTC#126

Hello and Welcome to another CASEing the Catty blog hop where we inspire you with our take on the amazing projects featured in our Stampin' Up! Catalogues.

No automatic alt text available.

This week, we are featuring Mothers Day, and CASEing our projects on the Annual Catalogue.

And As you can see I've CASED this card from page 70 which features the great (retiring) stamp set and coordinating thinlits - Crazy About You, and the Hello You Thinlits.

There are so many wonderful combinations to create almost ANY greeting you can think of!!

My colours are much softer than the original - I've used So Saffron, Mint Macaron, Pink Pirouette, and Calypso Coral,  I've added some extra DSP behind my feature panel - it's the Mint Macaron piece from the Succulent Garden DSP.

Oh, and here's another Mothers Day card because we are celebrating Mothers Day!!
This one features Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, and Crushed Curry along with Petite Petals, and Picture Perfect stamp sets.  The greeting was created using the Brushstrokes Alphabet stamp set.

I sincerely hope you've been inspired, and now it's time for you to hop along to see Judy's gorgeous project - she always creates such beautiful cards.

Stampin' Up! grateful Bunch - Colour INKspiration #08

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge again!!

No automatic alt text available.

This time we have these amazing colours:
Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla
and these colours are in my COMFORT zone!

I really love the neutrals, and monochromatic themes, and soft suede is one of my favourites!!

My card features a retiring stamp set and punch combination (sad face) - Grateful Bunch and the coordinating Blossom Bunch Punch - and these products have enjoyed a full and busy life in my craft room!!  I love the way you can get LOTS of gorgeous flowers of 3 different sizes with some stamping and punching.

This card also features another of my favourites - collage stamping - lots of images stamped in a cluster to create the focal point.  There's a repeat of the stamping on the inside of the card too.

In the centre of the front of the card, I've sponged over the top of a Lace Doily with Soft Suede to anchor the whole embellishment cluster and then stamped the lace image with Soft Suede too  The leaves are stamped in Tip Top Taupe, and the greeting and butterfly are stamped in Early Espresso.

All the flowers are stamped in Delightful Dijon and then coloured a little with the Early Espresso watercolour pencil which has been blended using the Clear Wink of Stella Brush.  All of this stamping looks really gorgeous on the Very Vanilla background, and I'm super pleased with the result.

I really hope you've been inspired by my project AND all the amazing projects from the whole design team - keep hopping all the way around by following the Next button............
and you'll see Nicole's bee-you-tiful leaves card.

Celebrating Big Shot projects in the Occasions Catalogue CTC#125

Hello and Welcome back to my CASEing the Catty blog hop!!
I've had a 'holiday' from blogging and creating with the school holidays and it's been a challenge to get back into it!!!  (both back into the swing of school for the children, work for me, and creating!!)
But, here I am!!

No automatic alt text available.

And this week we are celebrating and sharing and CASEing any Big Shot project from the Occasions Catalogue.

And I've been inspired by the Sent with Love Suite - it's soon to retire and so it's time to enjoy these gorgeous framelits and the coordinating stamp set!!
My project is a combination of the card and gift bag in the centre of the image.
I wanted to use this lovely heart edge, and I really like the cluster around the little envelope on the tag on the bag - can you see how I've combined the two?

I've used the lovely Blooms and Bliss DSP (also retiring) and so my colour scheme was inspired there - Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum - how gorgeous are these colours together!!!

This card was one of the cards we created at my last class and the star of the class was our wonderful DSP (and all are retiring at the end of May).  Stampin' Up! truly create BEAUTIFUL papers and I've never been disappointed yet!!  Even if one side doesn't immediately appeal to me, I always enjoy the other side too!!

I hope you are really loving our blog hop this week - so many wonderful projects!!
If you've been inspired (and why wouldn't you be????), please join in the fun and add your great creation inspired by the Big Shot projects in our Occasions Catalogue.  You can use this link to go to our great facebook challenge page!!

Stampin' Up! DSP is just GORGEOUS!!

These are some of the cards we made at this week's Card Smorgasboard Class - there was a choice of 8 different designs and class participants could make all 8 or any combination of cards!!

We used the great stamp set - Suite Sentiments (featured on page 54 of the Occasions Catalogue) for every card in the class - this great stamp set is designed to coordinate with all these different papers.

All of the cards feature the GORGEOUS, the DIVINE, the oh-so-BEAUTIFUL retiring DSP from Stampin' Up!
All of these papers will retire at the end of May - so the message here is that if you like them - GET IN NOW to purchase yours before they are sold out and discontinued forever!!

Some of the papers featured are:
Tasty Treats,
Succulent Garden,
Sending Love,
Falling in Love,
Cupcakes and Carousels,
Blooms and Bliss,
 and Moroccan

We had a lovely time creating all these beauties - and we'd love you to join us next time!!

SUO Challenges - Sympathy and Caring

Welcome to another Stampin' Up! Only Challenge!
This week we are sharing some inspiration for Sympathy and Caring

My card features the gorgeous Falling in Love DSP, and Rose Wonder stamp set with the coordinating framelits.
Colours are:  Soft Suede for the stamping, and Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla for the cardstock

I've used a couple of techniques here:  stamping on DSP, and stamping for 3rd and 4th generation images to give differing tones of the same colour .
I think this echos the beautiful Bokeh images on the DSP

Now, we'd love to see your creations as you join in the fun with our Sympathy Challenge!
Add your gorgeous projects using this link here

Got cherries?

I love to say:
'Happy Birthday with a cherry on top!'
as a fun greeting.

Well,
my hilarious (fun loving) uncle wanted to know where all these cherries were....
so,
this was the envelope I used on his birthday card -
so now he knows where all the cherries are!!
teehee

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder meets Falling in Love DSP

You have heard me say before that I LOVE creating cards to order - there is something so wonderful about a unique personalised one-of-a-kind card to give to someone special.

Recently I was asked to create a wedding card to give - and I have fun making this one!!
I went all out with textures and trims.
My card features:
burlap ribbon
saleabration silver metallic ribbon
lacy doily
falling in love embellishments
stitched shapes framelit
flourishing phrases thinlits
dazzling diamonds glimmer paper
butterflies thinlits
blooming heart thinlit
falling in love designer series paper
and
Rose Wonder stamp set.

The inside of the card is a bit special too - the DSP is folded in quarters and the largest stitched shapes oval framelit was used to cut the peek-a-boo hole for the greeting.

Isn't it lovely?
I can make a specialised unique card for  you too -
just contact me for your request. (Australia only)

Stampin' Up! Beautiful You for CASEing the Catty #122 Falling In Love Chapter

Welcome to the wonderful inspiration from CASEing the Catty.
This week we are Copying And Sharing Everything from the Falling In Love Chapter - pages 50 - 54.

No automatic alt text available.

I've been inspired by the lovely swan card on the top of page 53 - and used Beautiful You for my art piece.  The layout is the same, and I've used the Succulent Garden DSP.

Doesn't the dress of the 'dancing lady' look sooo gorgeous with the printed DSP from Succulent Garden?  This is a great technique to add some loveliness to your image - you stamp the image onto the printed paper, cut it out closely to the edge, and then simply adhere it over the top of your stamped image - voila - pretty dress on the lady!!

And as I was happily creating, I decided it was time I created a masculine card!!

This card has been inspired by that little gift envelope on the bottom left of the photo on page 54.

I've converted it into an easel card and added the greeting onto the Badges and Banners stamped shield - which was then punched out using the Best Badge punch.  I've also stamped an extra Early Espresso badge, cut it in half and then popped it a little above and below the stamped badge to give a little interest and to help it stand out.

I love the hexagon embossed silver foil - what an awesome look!!

I hope you check out all the rest of the CASEing the Catty team - there are always wonderful and inspirational projects from the whole team.  You can find the complete list of the team by going to our blog - click on this link to get you there.

And when you create your project inspired by the Falling in Love chapter, join in the fun by adding your project to our challenge facebook page - we'd love to see you there!!!

Until next week,

Happy Stamping! Julia
