A work of Art for CTC#137 - Artistic Expression

Hello and Welcome to our CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop where we share our creativity and inspire you to look at our Stampin' Up! Catalogues in a whole new way as we Copy And Share Everything.

This week we are CASEing from the Artistic Expression chapter - a large and varied chapter!!
I've been inspired by this quick and simple project on page 150

After being amazed by the beautiful work of Lou Kitzelman who created a gorgeous canvas,  I've upcycled a canvas we had rollicking around our place.

The layout is the same as the card in the catalogue - but on a much larger scale!!

To create the greeting I've used the wonderful Brushwork Alphabet and the Letters for You alphabet and coordinating framelits.  The background piece for the words comes from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  I sponged the canvas with Rose Red ink and then using my aquapainter smooshed the colour around to give it a watery look.  I've used the embossing paste and Pattern Party decorative masks on the canvas in the background, and for the zigzag element on the feature panel.

Here is what the canvas was looking like half way through the process!!

Now it's time for you to hop along to be inspired by Sandra - one of our new design team members!!

When you've finished the blog hop, join in the fun by adding your project to our facebook challenge page!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
