Happy Anniversary for CTC#213 Floral Romance

Hello and Welcome to our beautiful Sunday Night Blog Hop and challenge Caseing the Catty.

Our challenge is about finding inspiration from the amazing projects in the Stampin' Up! catalogues. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything.

No photo description available.

This week, the challenge is to CASE from the Floral Romance chapter of the Occasions Catalogue - pages 10-13

I've been inspired by the lovely Petal Pink card at the bottom right of the landing page for the chapter.

I've used the same colours and many same elements as the original but I've adapted the design to suit my own supplies!!  The orientation of the card has been changed to a landscape profile to suit the beautiful greeting panel which features the glorious Stitched Labels die cut!

As this was a super special card for some really super special people I've made it into an Anniversary card using the Make a Difference stamp set for the numerals, and the Banners for You stamp set for the words.  This stamp set is photopolymer which was perfect because it allowed me to gently bend the stamp a little to get the curved edge to the greeting.

The inside features some more of the elegant Floral Romance DSP as well as those gorgeous fussy cut vellum floral and leaf clusters.  I've used greetings from Floral Phrases to continue our best wishes on the inside of the card.

I hope you've been inspired to seek your starting point from our Stampin' Up! catalogues!!  Please join in the fun with us and add your project to our facebook challenge page.

Up next on our lovely hop with the Floral Romance chapter is lovely Sandra and her gorgeous butterfly card.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

So Pretty in the All My Love chapter CTC#211

Hello and Welcome again to our Sunday Night blog hop and challenge CASEING the CATTY.

We love to inspire you with the current Stampin' Up! catalogues as we Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything using the brilliant projects illustrated on every page!  The challenge is for you to join in with us too as you CASE from the Catalogue.  You'll see lots of inspiration to help you as you hop through the design team !!

No photo description available.

This week, we are focusing on the first chapter of our new Occasions Catalogue -
pages 4-9 All My Love.

I've been inspired by the lovely card at the bottom of page 7 - and a few other team members have used this card for their inspiration too, but our projects are all different!!

I've kept to the same colour scheme and general layout, but I've used different stamp sets!

My greeting comes from Amazing Life stamp set on page 28, and I've embellished with butterflies from the lovely Butterfly Gala suite.  I've substituted some of the glorious Sale-a-bration FREE ribbon instead of the DSP.

After I made this, I adapted the design and simplified it to create a Valentines Gift for the Craft Group to do at my next class at the nursing home.  This little card is just 3" x 12" folded at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" to create a little pocket inside for the gift to sit.

The flower has been mounted onto a lolly pop stick available in the cooking section of my local department store.  There is a little hole punched on the fold of the top of the card for the flower to go through and into the pocket for gift giving.

The back of the little flower is a punched circle with 2 holes punched into it so it can thread the lolly pop stick through.  The flower pieces are then attached to the circle over the top of the stick anchoring the whole thing together.

I hope you've been inspired by both of my projects which were inspired by our Occasions Catalogue!!

Keep hopping around the whole team - you'll see some really amazing ideas!!

We love it when you join in the challenge too!  Add your project to our facebook challenge page and join in the fun with us!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia  x

Best Catch for Winter at SUOC #214

Hello and Welcome back to SUOC - using Stampin' Up! Only products for our challenge projects!!

SUO!

This time the challenge is for Anything Winter!!
Here on the Sunshine Coast in sunny Queensland Australia, we are having an awesome mild Summer at the moment, and so I've created a card which I think is wintery!!

I loved this stamp set as soon as I saw it!  It is called Best Catch and there is also a set of 9 coordinating dies called Catch of the Day - so you can get them both in a bundle and receive a 10% discount - how fabulous is that!!
Best Catch Cling Bundle

My husband is a happy fisherman and I love this image of the fish jumping.  It was so much fun to colour and blend with the Stampin' Blends!  I used light Pumpkin Pie, light Mint Macaron, and  light Call Me Clover Blends.

My background watery image was created with a wash of Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushell.  I also stamped some water lines with Whisper White Craft Ink and a stamp from the High Tide stamp set.  The card is an easel card so that the lovely fish can be easily shown off!!

SUO!

I hope you join in the fun with us at Stampin' Up! Only Challenges.  Make sure you head to our blog so you can see all the fabulous projects from the whole design team and you can also add your link to the line-up there!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
