Spooky Inspiration CTC#252

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing inspirational Stampin' Up! Catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING from the layouts on page 52 of the Holiday Catalogue.

I was inspired by the cute gift bag on the left of the layout.

The colours are completely different, but the central layout is basically the same - sort of.

I've used a Bermuda Bay foil star in the background instead of the large circle element.  All of the background stamping was done using the gorgeous star images from So Many Stars  and the Silver Delicata ink - to replicate the patterning on the gift bag.

I've used the same Ornate Frame with Coastal Cabana cardstock and then added the Silver Foil stars from the inside of the star swag die cut that I've added underneath the frame.

Can you see the sparkle and shine from the Silver ink and the Silver foil and the Bermuda foil?  The card looks sooo pretty and shiney!!

I've done lots of stamping for the inside of the card using the Silver Ink again and some Coastal Cabana.

Up next is the amazing Rebecca! Make sure you keep hopping around to see all the amazingness from the whole design team!

When you've completed your hop, join in the fun with us by creating your own projects inspired by the layouts on page 52 and then add it to the lineup on our facebook challenge page!!

The two main products used in my card this week are the So Many Stars bundle (including the stamp set and 23 coordinating dies!!) and the Ornate Frames dies.

Bright Floral Colour INKspiration #66

Hello and Welcome to our stunning colour challenge and Blog Hop!!

Our challenges are inspired by some amazing pictures from Pinterest and the colours from our Stampin' Up! collections.

This week, our colours are:  Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Pineapple Punch, Mint Macaron and Lovely Lipstick - and we are challenged to use 3 or more colours!!

I've managed to use all these colours to make a bunch of thank you cards - whenever I need one, there isn't enough in my stash - so this week was the time to build up the collection!!

I recently had a class using the gorgeous Lots of Happy card making kit, and so I was then inspired to use the kit in other ways!

I've coloured the floral images in two ways - some with Stampin' Blends, and some with ink and the aquapainter - I wonder if you can discern the difference??

The backgrounds of all the cards were created using a smoosh of water and ink spread with the aquapainter onto Shimmery white card stock so that I could be quite liberal with the water.

All of the greeting panels were stamped using the Magnolia Blooms stamp set and Lovely Lipstick ink.

I have also coloured some of the vellum leaves using the Mint Macaron Stampin' Blend and left some  leaves white.

Up next on our fabulous colour challenge this time is the lovely Rose who is always inspirational!!

We would really love you to join in this fun challenge with us too!  It runs for 3 weeks this time so you have plenty of time to add your amazing creations!!!

Scrapbooking Challenge

Hello and Welcome to my entry for September's Challenge over at Scrapbooking Global!!

No photo description available.

I'm a little late blogging about the challenge - but here is the scrap map for the challenge!
 Isn't it awesome!!

I've used Sahara Sand and a bunch of blues - Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Balmy Blue - the names AND the colours all reflect the topic of the photos!!!

Most of the embellishments are fussy cut from the Bird Ballad DSP.  My stamping comes from the Swirly Frames stamp set.

There are also lots of cute little die cut elements from the Well Written Words thinlits, and a little of the Pressed Petals washi tape.

I loved the grid pattern of this page - it really helped all the photos pull together!!

And the exciting news was that I was the Design Team Choice winner!  How cool is that!!

Merry Christmas Brightly Gleaming CTC#251

Hello and Welcome to another Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit - and we love to CASE from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues - and challenge you to do the same!!

No photo description available.

This week, we are CASEING from the Brightly Gleaming DSP and the layouts on page 30.

I've been inspired by the card at the very top right to embellish a Canvas Decor piece.  I found the canvas in an op shop for $1 and covered the base with the amazing Brightly Gleaming paper to set the scene for the decorations!!

I've mimicked the catalogue card three times over by creating clusters all around the Copper Foil words die cut using the Merry Christmas thinlit dies from the Annual Catalogue.

I've also added some of the Brightly Gleaming Foil elements to each of my bunches of baubles.

All of the ornaments were coloured using Stampin' Blends in the rich jewel tones of this splendid DSP!!  You can see my red jacket reflected in the copper foil elements in this photo!  They are so shiny and glorious!!

Up next on our hop is Lovely Elizabeth and her amazing project!

We would love you to join in the fun with us too by adding your project CASED from the Brightly Gleaming DSP to our facebook challenge page!!
