The Masculine Cards CTC#274

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! Catalogues - CATTY.

This week we are CASEING the Masculine Cards from our new Annual Catalogue.  Welcome if you've just arrived from  Michelle and then make sure you keep hopping right around the team to see some gorgeous masculine cards!!

I have been inspired by the lovely High Tide card on page 27.  I have made this Z fold card using this stamp set before, but this time, I've really showcased the amazing Old World Paper embossing folder.

I've used the embossing folder for the watery background and for the rocks surrounding the base of the light house - what do you think????

The 'sand' at the foreground of the card was stamped with the sandy images from the stamp set and also embossed using the Subtle embossing folder.

The writing panel for your greeting is on the back of the card which repeats some of the imagery from the front of the card.

This is such a fun card because you can stand it up on your mantelpiece to show it off AND it folds easily for posting!!

When the card is fully opened it is the full length of an A4 sheet of cardstock.

This has been a week for Masculine cards for me - my husband needed a card for a colleague retiring who's super car keen, so this is the card we gave to him - and it was inspired by the image on page 28 above which shows off those fabulous metallic foil gears!!

Up next is the totally lovely Tina.

So, would you like to join in the fun with us and share your masculine cards inspired by our catalogue?  Just add the photo to the lineup on our Facebook challenge page here.

Whale of a Time for Out of the Box Social Stamping

Hello and Welcome to our gorgeous blog hop for Social Stamping started by Kelly Kent which allows us stay connected and inspire each and other and you!!
Welcome if you have just arrived from lovely Lisa.

To see all of the participants and their links for this hop, click on the image above to go to the blog host.

This week the theme is "Out of the Box".  I've taken the theme very literally and created a couple of box shaped diorama cards featuring the Whale of a Time Suite which I looooove!!

One of the glorious pieces of the coordinating Whale of a Time 6" x 6" paper works perfectly as the backdrop for my mini aquarium.

I've stamped the whale on Pool Party (which is the same colour as the box) and then punched it out with the Whale punch.  The Turtle was stamped and fussy cut.  Both were attached onto a strip of window sheet and then onto the frame of the box.

I've stamped a few of the other images onto the front frame of the card which does fold flat and fit into a standard envelope making it easy for postage!!

The back of the card features the writing panel which is another of the gorgeous papers, and I've stamped the coordinating greeting in the centre allowing a little room for you to write to your friend!!

If you peek inside the diorama above you might be able to see where the whale is attached with the window sheet inside the front frame!!

Up next on our fun hop this week is the lovely Chantell.  Make sure you keep hopping all around everyone for some pretty amazing projects that are Out of the Box!!

If you get lost along the way, just head to the blog host above and click on the next person on the list!!

CTC273 Playing with Patterns colours

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty).

Welcome if you have just arrived from lovely Rachel.

This week, we are CASEING the Colours of the Playing with Patterns paper.  The colours are:  Purple Posy, Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana.

My cards are some very simple cards showcasing the Lovely You Bundle which includes a sweet stamp set and coordinating fun label punch!!

This is the first card I made and I used all the colours....... and I don't really like it very much.  It's a bit too much muchness.

So then I created two more cards featuring only a couple of colours each - this one features Night of Navy, Crushed Curry and Purple Posy, and I think it's quite elegant.  The white ribbon was coloured with the Night of Navy dark Stampin' Blend - as was the lovely rhinestones.

And the last card I created I think is my favourite - it features Purple Posy, Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral.  The ribbon and rhinestones were coloured with the Calypso Coral dark Stampin' Blend.

Up next is the amazing Rebecca and her project using these fun colours!  Make sure you keep hopping around the whole team for lots of amazing inspiration!!

Please join in the fun with us on our Facebook challenge page.  You don't need a blog to join in.  You just need to create a project using these cool colours, and add a photo to the lineup on our page!  See you there!!
