Painted Lavender CASE CTC#463

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn

Tonight I'm hopping with the fabulous CASEING the CATTY crew.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE our fabulous Catalogues - CATTY.

This week we are CASEING the bundles chapter in the mini catalogue.

My card is inspired by the gorgeous card featuring Painted Lavender bundle on page 71.

My card is very similar to the one in the catalogue - I've changed up the card base using the Sweet Thoughts cards and envelopes. This was the starting point for my ink choices of Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Lemon Lolly.

Do you see the cute little extra I've added for texture on the sides?  I just scored twice on each side of my panel - such an easy idea but I love the look!!

Inisde the card continues the same stamping with a bit of blending for extra depth.

Make sure your keep hopping to see lots of great ideas.

A scrapbooking Challenge!! Notes of Nature watercoloured

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page with you featuring elements to fulfil a challenge!!  This challenge was set by the Scrabooking Global Facebook group which gives me so much inspiration and is such a welcoming and sharing group.  We create scrap pages featuring Stampin' Up! products.

The elements of the challenge are:
3 photos
Anything Gold
Die Cut Leaves
Watercolour elements - handmade with stamps ink and watercolour paper.
I've had this challenge on my 'to do' list all month!!  And finally I've created it - loved this one.  The watercolouring is on the leaves, and also all over the background piece - my page is almost a homage to Old Olive!!!  lol

The leaves I've stamped, and quite a few of the gold die cut leaves come from the Notes of Nature bundle which will be retiring in May (sad face).  I've just love using this set.  Some of the other die cut gold leaves come from the Gorgeously Made dies.

I've also added gold leafing onto my background piece of Old Olive which was coloured and spritzed with water and generally roughed up with random stamping, ink and water and sponging.

I do love the watercolour leaves!!! I hope you have received some inspiration from my page - check out more scrapping in the Scrapbooking Global facebook group!!

Sea Turtle Colour Challenge CI#162

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm sharing a project inspired by our Colour INKspiration challenge.

These colours are stunning!!!  And I love the imagery!!  What a gorgeous photo.

The blues spoke to me - so I pulled out my Sea Turtles stamp set to create my underwater scene.

To help mute the colours a little I've added some torn strips of vellum over the background stamping and then fussy cut my little turtles to add on the front.  This stamp set is a reversible one which means you can flip over the stamp to create the fill in colour as well as the detail colour.

Inside the card is some more background stamping - Love this effect.

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining the CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING a sketch from the Mini Catalogue on page 70.  I just love a simple sketch because it's a great way to get started and you can be so creative!!

For my card, I've stayed very very simple - just letting the paper do all the heavy lifting!!

This is a sneak peek for some super cute paper coming in our new Annual Catalogue starting in May (unless you join my team now, and then you can order early  in April!!)

The greeting comes from one of our On Line Exclusive stamp sets which has lovely scripty words for ALL occasions.!!

Inside the card is some more of the lovely paper.

Make sure you keep hopping to see more great ideas with this sketch!
