Colour INKspiration #15 - loving these bluesy colours

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration Blog Hop and Challenge!!
Image may contain: indoor

This week the colours are:  Elegant Eggplant, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party.

My favourites are the blues - Bermuda Bay and Pool Party with the vibrant splash of Lemon Lime Twist!!  I am NOT a purple person, but the Elegant Eggplant looks fabulous with these colours!!

I've done some of my favourite collage stamping using Timeless Textures for the background in the Pool Party and Bermuda Bay.  Because I was doing a 'Thank You Cards' class this week, my design project for our challenge is one of the cards for the class.  So using the ever popular Delightful Daisy bundle (which is now back and available woo hooo) we created a feature flower to say thankyou.

As I said, I'm not into purple, so when I created my double daisy head it was waaaaaay too much - hence the folded top layer for the daisy.  I attached the 2 heads together, and then folded the top petals into the centre and anchored them with the flower centre - I was pretty impressed with myself creating this flower AND it satisfied my not-too-much-purple  requirement!!
I love the double knot in the Bermuda Bay and Pool Party over the top of my ombre Lemon Lime Twist ribbon down the side of the card.

Since I was having a fun time creating, I made another card with the Elegant Eggplant far more subdued!!  I've stamped the daisy onto vellum, and then blended the ink around to 'colour' in the petals using the Clear Wink of Stella brush.

I scrunched the vellum daisies in my hand to give them a bit more body and texture, as well as manipulating the petals with a bone folder for curve.

Which one is your favourite?
Honestly...... I like the one with more Elegant Eggplant - who would have thought??????
But, I do loooove these bluesy colours!!

Now it's time for you to hop along to see Chloe's GORGEOUS flamingos!!!

And please share your gorgeous creations using these colours by adding your photo to our Facebook Challenge Page - this link will get you there!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia.  x
