Something Masculine for SUO #201

Hello and Welcome to another stupendous challenge for SUO Challenges where we use Stampin' Up! Only products to create creative awesomeness to share with you and inspire you!!

Our Challenge this time is to make something for men in our lives!!

Image may contain: 1 person

I know this is a really tricky challenge at times - what do we create for men?  And do they care?  I know it helps me to think about the guy I'm creating for, and so my card is all about my husband!

He loves fishing AND it's his birthday this month, so, this is a win win for both of us!!

The Sea of Textures Suite is totally wonderful.  We live very close to the Great Barrier Reef along the coast of Queensland Australia, and we are very blessed to have been able to snorkel and swim in parts of the reef during our lives.  The gorgeous images in this stamp set and the coordinating framelits from Under The Sea is just FANTASTIC!!  I love them all!!

To create this card, I've done all the stamping first creating a collage under the sea, and then I've run the stamped panel through the Big Shot with the Seaside embossing folder.  The little fish swimming was cut BEFORE the embossing folder was used!!  I've added some Wink of Stella glimmer to the fish onto the Blueberry Bushel card stock - but it's quite tricky to photograph!!  The final touches of the card were some die cut branches of coral and the sign punched out of Wood Textures DSP using the Tailored Tag Punch.

Head to our blog for SU! Only Challenges and be inspired by all the fantastic projects from the whole design team!  Then, add your projects to the line up and join in the fun!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
