A gift for a friend CTC#236

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE means to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and our team loves to CASE from our inspiring Stampin' Up! catalogues.

No photo description available.

This week, the challenge is to CASE from the Love, Thanks and Support Chapter which is a whopping 15 pages - from page 72 to 97.  So much to inspire you!!!

I found my inspiration very quickly!!  And my project is a gift for a friend.
Have you seen this lovely Pressed Petals journal in the catalogue? It's in the Memories and More section of the catalogue.
PRESSED PETALS JOURNAL
It's full of beautifully printed pages featuring lovely sentiments of gratitude.  It's pocket size, so perfect to pop on your bedside table for end-of-the-day reflection, or it could easily go into your bag to use when you're waiting somewhere - appointments, trains, children's sport.... so many opportunities to do some meditation about our many blessings in life!!
  It's also (I think) a perfect gift!!!

I've CASED the use of the DSP fussy cutting in the catalogue sample, and the general layout, but there are several changes based on the stamp set I wanted to use.

I thought this sentiment from Praiseworthy Prose was just perfect, but it was too long to use in the Stitched Shape that was used in the catalogue sample.  Soooooo I've used the rectangles dies for the words, and then the Stitched Shape for the Blueberry Bushel foil - I LOVE this foil - it's just glorious!!!

I've added a couple of extra leaves from the Lovely Leaves dies, some Noble Peacock Blueberry Bushel rhinestones, and one of the Leaves Trinkets tied with some linen thread.

I had thought about putting her name on the front using the Hand Lettered Prose dies, but in the end, I though that would be a bit too busy!!  She loves blue, so I'm hoping she love this too when it arrives in the mail to her!!

Up next on our wonderful hop is Rachel and her sweetly pretty heart cards.

We invite you to join in the fun with us too as you look at the Love, Thanks and Support chapter of our catalogue and CASE your favourite project!!

PS. did you know we have a brilliant promotion to join Stampin' Up! this month?????  The Starter Kit just got bigger!!  Check out the details on the Join the Fun tab on my website.

  2. Such beautiful layering. That pop of the blue metallic is fabulous against the kraft background and the more subdued colours. What a lovely gift this would make for someone.

  3. What a beautiful gift! Anyone would love to receive this. I like your version better than the original. I love how the sentiment looks “aged” and blends into the background with the other elements rather than being bright white.
