A Blast from the Past for a scrapbooking blog hop

Hello and Welcome to another super fun blog hop with the amazing Scrapbooking Global Group!!

I love the way this group has so much to share with each other to inspire and support us in our Scrapbooking efforts!!  You can find the group on Facebook.

This month, the theme is A Blast from the Past and it is designed by Sherry Roth who is an AHMAZING scrapbooker!!

My page includes the words "Blast from the Past" in my journaling and it's a story that encompasses a period of 30 years, but the photos are from this year.

It's actually a VERY busy page with lots going on - a bit more crazy and chaotic than my usual style - but I couldn't think about how else to include all the bits and pieces of the whole story!!!

The big E is totally inspired by the marketing of the event.  I hand drew it using a ruler and a large plate for the curves, and then used the shimmery embossing paste and the Pattern Masks to cover it in sparkly dots!  This idea is totally inspired by Sharon Dalton who has a gorgeous page with Early Espresso and shimmery embossing paste.  The star was die cut using the Stitched Stars dies.

All of the stamped images come from the amazing stamp set Music From the Heart.  I've coloured elements using Mango Melody Stampin' Blends and Smoky Slate Blends for the piano.

Using the stave and the treble clef was perfect for a journaling panel!!

And I was fortunate enough to have tickets spanning the 30 year gap to complete my page!  This ONLY happened because my husband and his family found the ticket in their Mum's place when she moved out to a nursing home!!  One of the treasures in the big family home cleanout!!

I hope you've been inspired by my Blast from the Past!!!

Up next on the hop is the lovely Cheryl.  Keep hopping all the way around to see all the amazing projects in the group!!

Here is  the complete list of all the blog hoppers below.
