Colouring Trucking Along CTC#430

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING a colouring project from the catalogue!!

My inspiration comes from the cut little chook card on the top left on page 49 of the catalogue.

I've adapted the card for my masculine cardmaking class in August and used the lovely Trucking Along bundle - but the rest of the card is just the same!!

The papers are from the Let's go Fishing bundle and there's a lot of tearing involved!!

I've coloured the little truck using Boho Blue and then added some highlights with one of the Natural tones. The flowers in the back are Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green.

Inside repeats the tearing and stamped and coloured images.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of awesome projects!!  Here’s Tina’s great project

Punched Truck Colour Challenge

Hello and Welcome to our Fun Colour INKspiration challenge.

This is an amazing group of crafters who always inspire me!

Check out the gorgeous image and colours this week!!

I'm preparing my Masculine card class for August featuring the cute little Trucking Along bundle, and so this colour challenge helped me get another card made ready to go!!

The truck has been punched from the Cajun Craze and then I added some more colour to the truck using the Cajun Craze stampin' blends.  See the cute wheel hubs?  They are some Daffodil Delight glossy dots!

To create the variety of colours for the trees, I stamped two trees before reinking my stamp which gave a lighter tone!!

I also tried these colours with a card featuring the Gorgeously Made bundle which is such an easy stamp set to use!!

Which is your favourite?  Mine is the little truck!!

Layering Leaves Punch Project CTC#429

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING a punch project from the catalogue - it's amazing when a challenge them comes along and I start looking in the catalogue, I mean REALLY looking that I suddenly see all these fantastic projects and the techniques used in them!!!

My card is inspired by this lovely card on page 23 of the catalogue that features the cloud punch and also a watercolour technique creating a wash in the background.  Well, I didn't do the wash background......

Instead I've used the Rays of Light stamp set inking up each half using Crushed Curry and Pretty Peacock inks.  I then spritzed the stamp using Stampin' Mist to create a watery wash look for the inks and stamped it onto white cardstock.

I then used the large circle die from All That Dies, sponged the edges using crushed curry and added it to the centre of the rays.  I also sponged the edges of the golden rays to give a bit more colour to the sky.  The flying birds stamped in Pretty Peacock look great!!  The greeting comes from Lazy Days.

Inside the card I've stamped some clouds using Pool Party ink from On the Ocean along with the birds and a strip of rays cut off from the front panel

To create the fun textured edge of the ribbon, I cut it in half length ways and then removed fibres to create the lovely fringing - this is totally inspired by the lovely detail in the original card from the catalogue.

Make sure you keep hopping to see more fabulous punch projects showcased!!

Grid Graduation - Scrapbooking Global blog hop this month.

Hello and Welcome to our monthly Scrapbooking blog hop featuring gorgeous Stampin' Up! supplies

This is an amazing international group who want to inspire your scrapbooking using fun challenges.

This month, the theme is to use a Grid Pattern for the layout - and I'm the designer!!

I love this type of layout because it's easy and straightforward!  For my page this time, I scored it into 4 inch squares and cut my papers and photos to 3 3/4 inch squares - easy peasy.

Once I arranged all the squares into the grid pattern, then all I had to do was embellish!!

I've use the lovely Petal Park stamp set and the coordinating Petal Park punch for some sweet Tahitian Tide and Misty Moonlight flowers.  I've also punched greenery from vellum and the Night of Navy Soft Shimmer paper using the Bough Punch.

All of the greetings came from the Charming Sentiments stamp set and die cut using the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies.  The journaling tag comes from the Designer Tags dies.

There's also a sneak peek of the Translucent Florals stamp set and coordinating dies on my page.  I've stamped using Blueberry Bushel onto vellum for a soft flower.

As a finishing touch, I doodled along the 4" score lines using a Blueberry Bushel marker to accentuate the grid pattern of my page.

My page title comes from the Wanted to Say dies adhered using Adhesive Sheets - I love how easy it is to use these!!  My final touch is some Pastel Sequins scattered around and on the flowers.

Here's the list of everybody in the hop - make sure you check out ALL the amazing inspiration.
