Kintsugi Inspirations CTC#525

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING the Kintsugi Suite pages 58 - 60.

I love the simplicity and elegance of this suite and it's really easy to put cards together using these lovely images.  I also really love the elegant colours of the papers!!

My card base is one of the Stripes & Florals Mix and Match cards and envelopes (currently on the Last Chance list at a discounted price!!)

I've then embossed some Secret Sea with the lovely Joined Together embossing folder and added some of the vases from the coordinating designer paper as well as a stamped and coloured vase.

Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Alternative

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today is Scrapbooking Global day!! Each month we share some great inspiration for you!

This month we are sharing some great alternatives to our Stampin' Up! workshop kits.

I've used the fabulous Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Kit.

And I've taken my inspiration from the catalogue featuring the gorgeous coordinating stamp set Weekend Adventures.

I like the torn pieces of designer paper and all the extra bits of colour used with a blending brush.

This kit worked perfectly for our camping photos and I love this Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop kit so much and can see it being used a LOT in my craft room!

The little stickers and extras in the kit work really well for adding extra interest.

I really hope YOU are inspired to try this!!
Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AMAZING projects!!

Paper crafting monthly blog hop - Masculine

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm joining the fabulous paper crafting monthly blog hop of fabulous international crafters.  Join us for a world tour of inspiration!

This month we are featuring Masculine projects!

I've used the amazing rip and flip technique to create this card using the Weekend Adventures designer paper.

I love the splotchy stamp image - makes adding texture super easy and doubles as the perfect way to disguise splotchy mistakes!!

The greeting is the awesome Layered Thoughts stamp set combined with the imagery from the Weekend Adventures stamp set.

Here's a quick video showing this fun technique.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AWESOME inspiration!!

Emboss Resist Technique with Charming Day bundle CTC#524

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a technique from the catalogue - and there were LOTS of choose from!  I love all the hints and tips in the catalogue - they give me lots of great inspiration!

I love the technique of emboss resist - and in the catalogue we have some super awesome paper that makes this sooooo easy!!  So my card is inspired by the technique card on page 116 of the catalogue.

This is the tag I used on the kit bags for our Retreat Day yesterday.  The colours are Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock - AND I've used the amazing Charming Day Suite coming in August (OR you can order it EARLY if you're a demonstrator and I can help you do that if you're keen!!)

I love the leaf detail in this diecut.  The tag bottom and top uses the Elegant Edge Tag Topper which is so sweet with these colours!!
