The LAST day of Sale-a-bration!!

On this LAST day of our Sale-a-bration promotion - I have a card to celebrate some of my favourite things - the little banner punch and the Sweet Sorbet suite.

I've made a scalloped tag and gave it some life with a few banners, and some punched cork pieces left over from the Sweet Sorbet accesories pack.  The flowers are topped with a little sequin each too.  The ribbons at the top of the tag are tied with some of the Sweet Sorbet accessory pack too!

I've mounted my tag onto an embossed image for some extra interest.   I hope you like this AND if you want some of the Sale-a- bration rewards you MUST get an order to me TODAY!!

Girly Glitter and Sparkle

We love doing home made gifts in our house, and this is a gift and card made by my daughter for her friends birthday recently.  The colours are:  Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray.

The linen notebook is actually already Basic Gray - how cool is that!  So we started from there, AND from the invitation for our inspiration.

We have used punches and punched the "13" and the name from the invitation.  Upcycling - re using again for another purpose!!

Because the invitation was pink and sparkly, we kept to that theme!!  The are lots of little rhinestones on each of the embellishment clusters.

After we completed the note book, we then made the card to coordinate with it.

The little black banners are punched from the invitation too!!

The little hearts are left over from our Valentines Day promotion of the little monsters - and they are a perfect little finish to our sweet gift.

Colour Challenge!

This week at JUST ADD INK - click here and see!! is a great colour challenge.  The examples done by the design time are truely inspiring.

This is my take on the colours - I started our making a guy card, but somehow it has morphed into a very girlie card indeed!

These little Petite Petals and the punch are a cute and easy combination.

I love how the Hardwood stamp set really gives a rustic charm to any project.

More Sweet Sorbet - the last days of Sale-a-bration!!

This page is inspired by the card I did HERE for a challenge for Sale-a-bration - I've replicated the same flowers and spread the elements a little to make a page.

The cute little Banner Punch does a fine job to create these lovely little flags.  They are suspended off a piece of the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Bakers Twine.

I'm loving using up my gorgeous cork pieces for the centres of my flowers.

My journalling panel is hidden behind the photo on a tab embellished with some twine, and cork with a pearl centre.

So, here's the card.....

how do you think it compares to the page?

Hello Sailor

This is a great stamp set for men!!  So I've made this card using lots of blues with a touch of Tangerine Tango and some silver heat embossing!!

I've used a piece of window sheet for some extra interest too.  I stamped the ships wheel with silver on the window sheet and then layered it over the striped ribbon so it looks like the wheel is on the ribbon!!

Gift Card Holder

This little cutie is made using an envelope - I stamped the envelope, coloured a paper doily, wrapped a piece of Sale-a-bration DSP around and punched the ends with the scallop tag topper punch and voila - a pretty little pocket for a gift card.  The tags are tied with some of our FREE sale-a-bration bakers twine too.  I've decorated one of the side of the tag with some little banners using another FREE Sale-a-bration punch.  Only another 2 more weeks of Sale-a-bration to go so if you want some of these lovely goodies, make an order very soon!!

Love vellum?

I have to admit I do love Vellum - and this printed vellum in the new Occasions catalogue is very very nice.

I've made a pocket by folding a piece and sealing the sides with watercolour washi tape.  This pouch is a replica of the one on page 6 of the catalogue - the only difference is that I didn't sew the edges!!

Card in a Box

These cards are totally on trend right now - there are lots of beautiful examples on the internet and after seeing how easy they are to create I had to try one for myself!!

I've used the watercolour DSP to decorate my box, and then the coordinating coloured ink for my flowers.

My card is slightly smaller than the ones I've seen on the net - I made mine so it can fit inside a standard envelope - and I can make two cards out of one sheet of A4 cardstock.

My card stock is 14 1/2cm x 21cm and scored at 5cm, 10cm, 15cm, and 20cm on the long side, and then scored at 7cm on the short side.

Just Add Sale-a-brations

This week at Just Add Ink, the challenge is to use some of our Sale-a-bration goodies!  And so, this is my little number.......  and looking at it now... wow, I've used lots of sale-a-bration goodies.

Let me list them for you - Petal Parade and Banner Blast stamp sets, Sweet Sorbet DSP and Accessory Pack, and the cute little Banner Punch.

To embellish my flowers I have used the lovely cork from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack and punched out the centres using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and then popped on a little pearl to finish.

Along with my Banner Punch, I have also used lots of other punches - 1/2", 1", 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" circle punches, and the 7/8", and 1 1/4" scallop circle punches.

My colours are:  Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Pool Party.

I've also made a coordinating envelope with the Sweet Sorbet paper and the envelope punch board.
