Sharing The Mini Catalogue Blog Hop.

Hello and Welcome!!

Tonight I'm participating in a Blog Hop with a bunch of amazing demonstrators from all over the world!!  We are sharing some gorgeousness from our Stampin' Up! Mini and Sale-a-bration Catalogues, and I'm sure you'll love it all!!!

I have 2 projects to share with you!  They are inspired by pages 46 and 23 of the Mini Catalogue.

I have simplified the card featuring Welcoming Woods a little - featuring a fun water colour wash on Shimmery White cardstock using our Water Painter with some Balmy Blue ink.

The inside of the card is very simple with some stamping in Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue.

I've changed my card to a Birthday Card - there are so many gorgeous greetings in this stamp set which makes it super useful for so many occasions!!

My second card is another simplification!  I've added one of the gorgeous Wonderful Snowflakes as my centre feature.

This lovely greeting comes from Merriest Moments stamp set, and the designer series paper is the Simply Elegant paper from our Annual Catalogue. I've also added some Gold Foil inspired by this lovely paper.

Basic Gray is not a traditional colour for Christmas, but I think this card looks so elegant with the gold highlights!!

Here's a video showing how I've created both of these cards.

Up next on our fabulous hop is the awesome Tricia.from the US

Here's the list of everybody in case you get lost along the way!!

Sale-a-bration Inspiration CTC#333

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING from our Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

Sale-a-bration Catalogue © p8.  All images copyright by Stampin' Up!  ®

I have been inspired by this cute deer card with the wreath on page 8.  You can't actually see how when you look at my project - but I swear this really was my starting point!!

Originally I was going to put deer on every one of the flaps on my card and had even fussy cut a couple from the Sale-a-bration Peaceful Prints paper ready.  However, when I put them on I just could not make it work!!  So in the end, I tossed the lot, punched a bunch of trees using our Pine Tree punch from the same paper and I was happy!!   I did use the Peaceful Prints paper for the background on each wheel of the card though.

The little Be Dazzling flower detail (cut using the Pretty Pillowbox dies) really is inspired by the original card - I just love the way the deer has all those cute flowers around it and on the wreath - so they've made it onto every span of my pinwheel card.

On each page is also a punched label using the Everyday label punch - 3 of them feature greetings from an old favourite Perfectly Plaid stamp set which coordinates with the Pine Tree Punch, and one is blank for writing to the recipient of this card.

I love the sparkle of the Sale-a-bration Be Dazzling paper, so I really HAD to add it to every wheel of this card!!!  How could I not??

Up next with her amazing inspiration for you is the brilliant Tina!!

Butterfly love for Colour INKspiration

Hello and Welcome to our fabulous Colour Challenge!!

This is a fabulous group of creative cardmakers who use colours inspired by gorgeous images.

This time the colours are Basic White, Real Red, Pool Party and Night of Navy.

The first step for my cards was to create a large sheet of vellum using the Stampin' Blends for all these colours with the addition of Isopropyl Alcohol to make them bleed and run. I also flicked the dried colour with some alcohol and a brush.  The Pool Party is very subtle with the other amazing colours.  The coloured one sheet wonder was then chopped into four to create my cards.

These cards are a little z fold.  To embellish, I've used the gorgeous Brilliant Wings dies and the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set.  You can purchase these as a Bundle which gives you a discount!   The butterflies were stamped in Night of Navy and coloured with watercolour pencils.  I added some Wink of Stella to the finished butterflies which then made the colours really vibrant.

The greetings come from the Sale-a-bration host stamp set In Your Words.  I've cut out the words on the front using an Ornate Frames die.

As the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set only has 6 butterflies, the last card features white die cut butterflies using the Brilliant Wings dies.

So Many Favourites CTC#332

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING our Favourite Annual Catty Suite - and what a challenge that is!!  How can we have just ONE favourite!!  I love them ALL!!!

Stampin' Up! © Annual Catalogue pp 96

Eventually, I decided to CASE from the Expressions in Ink Suite and in particular the square card in the top left of the image above.

I've adapted the colours based on the page of Expressions in Ink paper that I chose to use (It's the last one left of my pack because I love all the paper so much - so choosing this design was easy - hahaha).

Instead of the stamping in the bottom left corner of the inspiration project, I've die cut the large flower image from the Artistic Dies in Gold Foil - and then didn't spend the time popping out all the pieces as I loved how it looked all intact!!  I've also used the large leaf die and the Sale-a-bration Be Dazzling paper, and again didn't pop out all the pieces from the die cut image.

I've also used some of the lovely frames from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack to highlight the journalling pieces.  The title piece at the top was stamping using the Sale-a-bration set In Your Words.  The whole stamp says:  'There is magic in every beginning'   but I only wanted the first four words so I used my Shaded Spruce marker to colour those words and then hand wrote the rest of the title.  I've also stamped the little dots from the Artistically Inked stamp set using Bumblebee ink.  That's the only stamping on the page because the gorgeous paper and die cuts did everything!!

The frame around the photos comes from the left over gold foil pieces in the ephemera pack - so no waste of that glorious foil!!  The last step was to add some of the gorgeous sequins from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack.

UP next is the amazing Tina!!
