Painted Harvest gorgeousness for CTC#152

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night blog hop sharing inspiration from our Stampin' Up! Catalogues, and caseing the amazing projects produced by
the awesome design team for Stampin' Up!

This week we are CASEing from the Painted Autumn and Spooky Nights chapters - pages 48 - 55.

Image may contain: text

And I have been inspired by two projects - this one here on page 51 which is featured in the Painted Autumn chapter.

I was inspired by this card because I really really wanted to try out Stampin' Up!s new alcohol markers - Stampin' Blends. And I was thrilled with the result - they are so wonderful to use and colour with!!

If you love colouring you MUST try these markers - they will be available from 1st November (only 3 more sleeps!!).

As per the project in the catalogue, I've also coloured and cut extra petals to create more dimensional interest with the flower - it looks fantastic in real life!!  This is a fun easy technique that really does make a difference to the flower.  Thank you Stampin' Up! design team for the awesome idea.

My next project is inspired by this lovely card on page 48 in the lovely Painted Autumn Suite. As it says in the catalogue, this is a quick and easy card, so my page is very simple too.

I've changed the colours to coordinate with my photos from our fun day out at the theatre seeing Kinky Boots, but the layout is the same as the card.

I'm grateful for my stamping time this week - I got to do another scrapbook page AND I got to play with the NEW Stampin' Blends.

I wonder what you could do this week that would be inspired by these chapters in the holiday catalogue?  We love seeing your lovely projects!!  It's easy to add to our facebook challenge page!!

And now it's time to keep hopping through the team to see Monique's marvellous creation!!

Until next time,
Happy stamping,

Bunches of flowers for Colour INKspiration #10

Hello and Welcome to another AMAZING Colour INKspiration challenge for you!!

Image may contain: plant, flower, outdoor and nature

Look at these amazing colours - Calypso Coral, Dapper Denim, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke - with a dash of Wood Textures DSP (if you like!!)
Please make sure you hop around the whole design team to see the amazingness of these colours and projects - and hopefully you'll be inspired to join in the fun too and have a go creating with these lovely colours!!

Well, my inspiration is totally from the picture as well as those colours - I've gone with the flowers in a barrel idea!!  I've used the fabulous Wood Textures DSP and the Everyday Jars framelits to cut my 2 jar/barrels!!  I sponged the edges on both to give them a rounded look.

The flowers and fronds are all from the awesome Jar of Love stamp set which coordinates with the Everyday Jars framelits.

I created the image first and then mounted it on the Cherry Cobbler.  I was so impressed with the loveliness of the flowers in the jar barrels, that I wanted to make an Easel Card to show it off a lot more!!  The two toned flowers were created using the stamp off technique for the first layer of stamping, and then full ink for the top layer.

The greeting comes from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and coordinating Duo banner punch.  This is a card to be used for any occasion!!
(secret, I was VERY tempted to leave the card with no greeting, but then I thought I'd better add something.......)

I hope you've been truly inspired to create with these colours and that you will add your project to our lineup for the challenge!!  You can easy add your photo to our facebook challenge page using the link above!!
And now it's time for you to hop along to the amazing and elegant Christmas Card from Nikki

Until Next Time,

Something Sweet SUO#186 Cool Treats

Hello and Welcome to SUO Challenges - using Stampin' Up! Only products!
This time the challenge is Something Sweet!

I'm on the team at SUO!
And you will see some STUNNING inspiration for you with our Something Sweet range of ideas and projects on our blog from the design team.

I've gone for a Sweet icecream card for the icecream lover in our family who is having a 17th birthday soon!

Cool Treats and the coordinating Frozen Treats framelits are so much fun to use!!

The colours for this project are:  Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and Sahara Sand.

And the dimensions for my card are (in Australian measurements):
The full length of the card stock x 10.5 cm and then scored along the long side at:  14cm, 20cm, and 27cm.  Each of the whisper white stamping panels are:  10 cm x 13.5cm, 10 x 5.5, 10 x 6.5, 10 x 2.

And while I was feeling sweet, I created a gorgeous little gift box full of yummy treats too!!

This project features our lovely acetate boxes, and I've embossed the front cover with the hexagon embossing folder for some interest.

The old olive card stock inside measures 16cm x 6" and
it is scored at 1.5cm, 13cm, 14.5cm, 26cm, 27.5cm.  I have folded it along the score lines and then slipped it inside the box.  The contents hold it in place.
I put 12 little candy bars in 3 rows of 4 in the box.

The greeting comes from You're So Sweet, and it is mounted using the lovely Everyday Label Punch onto a glorious silver snowflake.

I hope you're inspired to join in the fun!!
Simply add your project to our lineup and show us Something Sweet!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Loving the front cover for CTC#151

Hello and Welcome to our CASEing the Catty Challenge where we Copy And Share Everything from our amazing Catalogues.

This week, the challenge is to CASE from our Catalogue Covers and Hostess Sets!!

No automatic alt text available.

I've chosen to combine my challenge project with a card for a very special occasion!  My card is REALLY large for lots of people to write their names inside.  It measures 12" x 8".

It is inspired by this lovely card at the top right of the front of the Holiday Catalogue.

I've changed the orientation of my card to a landscape view, but the layout remains the same.

The feature panel was created by stamping an oval with the gumnuts (that's what they look like to me!!) from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I've used Early Espresso and stamped onto some Wood Textures DSP.  I've then stamped with the Old Olive again around the oval to emulate the double row of stitching from my feature card in the catalogue.

The cluster below the oval features leaves from Painted Harvest along with burlap ribbon and copper trim under the Number of Years stamped numbers.  The large greeting is die cut with the Happy Birthday thinlit with coordinates perfectly with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set - such a wonderful set!!

I've also made an envelope for the card using the coordinating Painted Autumn DSP.

The greeting on the tag comes from Merry Little Labels and the coordinating Everyday label punch.

I hope you've been inspired and that you will join the fun with us and add your project CASEing our catalogue covers or hostess sets to our fun facebook challenge page!!

Now it's time to hop on over to see Peta's fabulous reindeer!!

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,

Big Shot fun in the Holiday Catalogue CTC#150

Hello and Welcome to our fabulous CASEing the Catty Sunday night blog hop!!

We are inspired to create using the awesome projects featured in our Stampin' Up! catalogues.

And this week, we are featuring our favourite Big Shot project from the Holiday Catalogue.

Image may contain: text

I have been inspired by this gorgeous project at the top of  page 26 featuring the lovely Bethlehem Edgelits Dies.

Now the illustrated catalogue version shows an AMAZING mastery of sponging for the colour - this is not in my (accomplished) skill set!!  I'm not very good at sponging and building up colour smoothly.... but I didn't let this stop me.

I like my card, I do, and it does look lovely - especially that tremendously sparkly champagne foil featuring the Bethlehem edgelits!!  So long as you are careful not to compare it too closely to the original it looks ok.  But golly, I LOVE the example in the catalogue!!!!

So after this inspired attempt, I thought I would try another idea inspired by the same card AND inspired by the awesome project featured by Bronwyn Eastley here

My project has different dimensions - based on the length of the Bethlehem edgelits - but still has the same general idea.

I've stamped the greeting onto the back of my shadow box, and it folds flat to fit into a standard envelope.

I've used card stock measuring A4 in length x 10 1/2 cm and then scored along the long side at
12 1/2cm, 14 1/2cm, 27cm and 29cm.  The largest square from the stitched shapes framelits was used for the picture window.

I hope you've been inspired by my projects AND those of the whole team, and that you will show us your favourite Big Shot project in our Holiday catalogue too!!  You can add your project to our facebook challenge page so easily!!

And now it's time for you to continue hopping to see Sandra's gorgeous floral card!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
