Irresistible Blooms in sketch challenge CTC#412

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night blog hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING a sketch from the Mini Catalogue.  I love a sketch because it makes it easy to get started with creating!  This was my starting point for using some of the lovely Irresistible Blooms bundle and coordinating paper.

I have also been inspired by the card in the catalogue and used the Elegant Eucalyptus embossing folder the same way.

Inside the card repeats the off kilter arrangement on the front.

I hope you keep hopping around everybody to see all the great projects featuring this fun sketch!

UP next is the awesome Rachel!

Using Scraps in our Colour challenge #140

Hello and Welcome to our fun Colour INKspiration challenge.

Check out the gorgeous Easter Inspiration this time!!

And I love and use all of these colours so often!

As these are some of my favourite colours, I have lots of scraps of cardstock in my left overs drawers - and so I grabbed a bunch of these to create layers of colour for the background of my scrapbook page.

Each of these scraps have the same colour stamping on them using the Go to Greetings stamp set with Happy Birthday stamped randomly all over every piece.  I've also sponged a little extra colour on each piece too which adds a bit of extra depth of colour.

I distressed one edge of each piece and then layered all the scrap stamped pieces around my page.  I mounted each of my photos onto some of the lighter colours.

I've used the Early Espresso for the journaling using a marker and also the stamping done using the Classic Letters stamp set.

The finishing touch is some die cut flags and elements using the All That dies.

Make sure you check out all the amazing projects using these colours!

Colouring a stamp CTC#411

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING a colouring project.

I actually love all sorts of water colouring and blending with the Stampin' Blends and using the watercolour pencils too - but I thought I'd try this fun colouring technique adding lots of different colours to a large background stamp.  I was keen to try out the Hand-Drawn Dots stamp - which is right out of my usual style.  I've cased a very similar card on page 29 of the mini catalogue.

In my opinion, the catalogue card is much nicer than mine - I can see why this is not my usual style - I'm not really very good at it.

I used the stamparatus to ink up the stamp using Petal Pink, Pale Papaya and Cajun Craze.  Then I used a blending brush and crumb cake to very lightly colour the background.  It ended up looking all fairly similar in colour!!  The embellishments were created using the Petal Park and Bough punches with glossy dots in the centre.

Inside the card features the same colouring treatments.
Even though I don't really like my card, I hope you're inspired to try this idea too!!

Creative fun scrapbooking this Month!!

Hello and Welcome to our monthly scrapbooking blog hop!!

This is an amazing international group of awesomeness!!

This month, the theme was designed by the amazing Delys Cram.

At first, I was a bit daunted by this theme, but I spotted my fun masks and I was away happily creating!

I used Old Olive for the checkerboard background and then Soft Succulent for the flowers in 2 corners - a blending brush and the masks - easy peasy!  Then, I stamped some splodges, flowers, words and some Love from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (totally LOVE this set for background stamping!). I used Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow for this stamping.

And Lastly I stamped the gorgeous fonted Merry Chirstmas from the Brightest Glow stamp set randomly in the bottom corner.

And then, all I had to do was add my photos!!  They are layered onto some Old Olive cardstock.
I do love doing a monochromatic project!!  AND I do LOVE green too!!

My journaling panels were die cut using the Labels Aglow dies and these were adhered with some fun Soft Succulent ribbon underneath.

Lastly I added some gorgeous InColour rounds for sparkle.

So, in the end, my page was a breeze - the background stamping and masks did ALL the heavy lifting - there is not really much else added to the page!  I hope you're inspired to try this too!

UP next is the amazing  Jill

Here's the list of everybody in case you get lost along the way!
