An Easter Sketch for CTC#266

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues.

No photo description available.

For these next two weeks, we are using our Easter Sketch as inspiration!!

Image may contain: possible text that says 'CASEING THE CATTY #266'

I'm using one of my favourite Sale-a-bration items - the glorious Flowering Foils paper and used this as my starting point for my Easter Card.

I've paired it with Silver Foil which was embossed using the Subtle folder, and also Champagne Foil for the die cut cross from the Crosses of Hope dies.  This was positioned onto the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies.

The greeting comes from the lovely Timeless Tulips stamp set and I really love its message of hope for Easter.  I've used a great tip from Elizabeth Gross for stamping onto vellum and wrapping it around the card so you don't see any adhesive!!   You can find her blog here

I'm loving all the shine and texture!!  I stamped using Soft Suede ink which I think coordinates well.

The greeting on the inside comes from the Hold Onto Hope stamp set which coordinates with the Crosses of Hope dies.

Up next on our fabulous Easter sketch hop is the wonderful Rebecca.

Our hope is that you are inspired by our blog hop and challenge and we would love you to join in the fun with us and add your project inspired by this sketch to our challenge lineup on our facebook page!!

Hello to Social Stamping!!

Hello and Welcome to a really fun Blog Hop to promote some Social Stamping together!!

Image may contain: text

This hop was prepared by the wonderful Kelly Kent so we can be stamping 'together' even when we're apart!!  If you click on the above graphic you can go to Kelly's blog post and continue the hop around everyone (or continue on from here until you've been all the way around the group!!)

The theme for the Blog Hop is Hello.  My 'Hello' comes from the super useful Label Me Bold stamp set.  I've stamped it using Pool Party but it's not looking super clear in the photos - I promise it does look better in real life!!!

The design for my card was totally inspired by the amazing Lou and her brilliant idea for sharing both sides of our gorgeous Designer Series Papers!!  You can see her projects Here

I've used the super sweet Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper combined with the Sale-a-bration Small Bloom punch to punch out the flowers from the paper.

These cards are going in my stash to send a paper hug in the mail!!
The measurements I have used are:
Pool Party base 14 1/2 x 10 1/2 cm
Melon Mambo layer 14 x 10 cm
Designer Series Paper 13 x 14 and scored at 9cm on the long side.

Up Next is marvellous Mae and her Hello to you!!

Remember you only have 3 more days to take advantage of Sale-a-bration and order the delicious Pleased as Punch paper or earn the wonderful Small Bloom Punch (which is a FREEBIE reward for every $180AU you spend!!)  Head to my online store and find ALL the details there!!

Fun with Stampin' Blends for Colour INKspiration

Hello and Welcome to another amazing Colour INKspiration challenge!!  We love to challenge you to use colours inspired by some pretty amazing images.

No photo description available.

Our photo this time was taken by one of our team members - the amazing Simone Bartrum.  She says:
“This photo was taken on the stunning island of Mykonos. With classic whitewashed buildings, mazes of charming streets and awesome shopping, it was one of our favourite ports on the 2019 Greek Isles Incentive Trip.”

I've used these colours - Night of Navy, Mango Melody, Basic Gray and Whisper White to create a bunch of cards featuring the Sale-a-bration Flowering Foils paper.

When I started colouring with the Stampin' Blends I discovered this paper colours like a dream!!! I think because it's  lighter weight than our normal cardstock, the alcohol moves around the paper more fluidly allowing the blending to work easily and smoothly.  The leaves are actually coloured with the Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends but I think it's quite close to the Basic Gray of the challenge.

Additional elements on the cards come from the Label Me Bold stamp set, and the leaves from the Birthday dies that coordinate with the Sale-a-bration Happy Birthday to You stamp set.

We hope you'll join in the fun with us with this colour challenge.

Ombre inspiration CTC#265 Week 2

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the Catty!!

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full of amazingness!!

Image may contain: text

This week we are sharing our inspiration from the 2nd Release Sale-a-bration catalogue.  I've been inspired by that sweet Lovely Lipstick card in the middle at the bottom.

I've used the same colours and layout, but my main inspiration comes from the gorgeous ombre detail in the centre of the card.  On the original this is supplied by using Stampin' Blends, but I have used an inkpad and Stamparatus.  I've stamped the top image, moved the Stamparatus leaf down the hinge and then WITHOUT REINKING stamped the image again and again all the way down the card.  The images is one of those super useful background pieces from Label Me Bold.

My feature images are from the totally adorable Little Ladybug!

The inside of the card features simple stamping.

This is one of the cards for our class learning about the Stamparatus.  It's a simple but really effective technique!!

Up next on our hope is the wonderful  Tina.

We love it when you join in the fun with us too.  You can easily add your project inspired by the 2nd release Sale-a-bration Catalogue onto our facebook challenge page.
