Happy New Year from SUO!

To herald in the new year, SUO are inspiring you with Happy New Year projects!!

I've been inspired by this little stamp in the Hostess Stamp Set - Antique Tags.

This is a little tiny bottle - big enough to fit into a standard envelope - the basic card size began at
2 1/2" x 6" and then I created a stencil and cut out the bottle shape.  I'm not a drinker, but I think this is a fun card for the season!!  I've used some washi tape on the neck of the bottle to emulate the lid and seal - what do you think?

SUO - fun cards for kids!!!

Isn't this little guy just gorgeous!!!!  As I am a born and bred Queenslander (Australia) living my whole life in the tropics and NEVER where there is snow I'm ever so proud of him!!  I've only every seen snow twice in my life - once in Victoria, Australia, and once in New Zealand!!!

This week on SUO we are having fun creating cards and gifts for children for the holiday season!  So I thought I'd use some of the Oh What Fun! kit glitter to create a shaker card.  And I made up the snow man design myself!! (with my limited snow man knowledge!)

Those cute little arms come from the Tree Builder Punch, and then I used the Christmas Tree punch to create the little santa hat.  My greeting comes from Oh What Fun!

I'm on the team at SUO!
So, hop on over to SUO challenges this week, and show us your inspiration for Fun holiday cards and projects for children.  We would love you to join in the fun!!

As well as creating my design for SUO this week, I'm entering it into the challenge at Paper Players!!

Enjoying the Trees for CASEing the Catty

Welcome to our Weekly CASEing the Catty blog hop - this week, celebrating the trees!!!  If you've hopped here from Rebecca's gorgeous trees card - such a great CASE of the catty, then you are very welcome, and if you are starting here, make sure you hop all the way around the design team - there are some amazing ideas and projects!!

My first card is inspired by the lovely card on page 16.  I don't own the Peaceful Pines stamp set, and Perfect Pines framelits, so I've substituted Festival of Trees and the matching punch.  The background images come from Happy Scenes which is another great 'tree' stamp set.

The colours of this card are certainly very peaceful.....

And my second card is inspired by one of the tags on the tree on page 16 AND the layout of the one of the cards on page 12 featuring the gorgeous music paper from Home for Christmas DSP.

I really love this paper!  And again the Lost Lagoon colours certainly give a restful 'feel' to the card!
Now it's time for you to hop on over and see the wonderful work of Rachel and her Christmas Tree inspiration!

And if you get lost, just click on the Blog Icon to see the list of all of the design team.... and ENJOY the Trees for CASEing the Catty.

Vintage Leaves birthday

I loves these leaves for masculine cards - their artistic images are glorious to stamp, and they all look so beautiful.

I've used the colours for the challenge this week to help me create a simple quick card.

Wetlands colour challenge

I really like the colours in the colour challenge at the Global Design Project this week - and they are excellent Christmas colours, but I've gone for a very simple card for this challenge.

Delicate Ornaments in Glimmer Paper

Don't these divine ornaments look magnificent cut from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper!!  And paired with the subtle elegance of Smoky Slate and the lovely holly sprig from Embellished Ornaments stamp set, they are so beautiful!!

I think the finishing touch of the White Glitter Ribbon and silver cord make this a gorgeous card!! Thank you Paper Players for the great inspiration from your tic tac toe challenge!!  As you can see, I've gone for the diagonal of white, sparkle or shine and ribbon.

Holly Jolly Greetings meets Delicate Ornaments

I'm loving my Delicate Ornaments framelits, and I think this lovely bauble works a treat on this great clean sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week!!

And I really love the luxurious Vanilla Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon too!!

Reason for the Season watercoloured

This card is very similar to a card in our Holiday Catalogue featuring Reason for the Season - this is a fun card to colour!  This time I've used an aquapainter and ink to create this artistic look!

Garden in Bloom for colour challenge too!

Just Add Ink have an amazing fun and tropical colour challenge this week, and this is my second entry!!  You should be so amazed at the fun I've had with these bright colours!!!

JAI #290

Embellished Ornaments colour challenge

This is a very bright colour combination, and if you know me, you know I'm not a huge fan of bright colours, but WOW, I just love how my card has turned out!!   It might have something to do with trying out my new stamp set - I'd been resisting buying this stamp set and the coordinating framelits, but I finally gave in, and I LOVE them!!

JAI #290

This lovely holly branch is just beautiful!!  And the colours from the Just Add Ink challenge look great on this little Christmas card!!

Festival of Trees in Bemuda Bay

So here's another card in a very similar layout!!  This time with Bemuda Bay and silver - so what do you think?

Berry Merry in Cherry and Silver

I enjoyed the layout of the dove card I made yesterday that I've used it again with Berry Merry in Cherry Cobbler and Silver - which is your favourite?

Island Indigo Dove of Peace

This elegant dove looks divine in every colour when it's stamped!!  Here I've stamped it with Island Indigo and then sponged with a little Pool Party to colour it.

Blue and silver are a lovely combination for Christmas aren't they?

CASEING the CATTY 3D

Welcome to the CASEing The Catty Sunday night blog hop!  If you've come from Elizabeths lovely project, I hope you're enjoying all of the wonderful projects from the whole design team!!  If you start here, be sure to hope your way through everyone - we all have different styles and ideas - and you will love what you see!!

This week at CASEing the Catty we are celebrating the lovely 3D projects in the Catalogue - and I've just LOVED CASEing this great box featured on page 15.

Creating this project was easy because I simply used what I had in my collection and created the box to be very similar to the one in the catalogue.  I haven't added a wooden snowflake element - because I really really LOVE the sparkle showing through on the bauble - and I've used some vibrant red glimmer paper to highlight the bauble too!!  Loving these gorgeous Delicate Ornaments Thinlits!!

And this stamping detail on the gift box using the fun gift box punch board is such a great idea!!  This I have completely CASEd straight from the Catty!!  I love this idea, and I love the inspiration I always gets from copying the ideas and projects in every Stampin' Up! publication!!

Now it's time for you to hop on over to Jessica's lovely project!
