CTC#346 A Christmas Twist!

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night challenge and blog hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week we are CASEING a card and giving it a Christmas twist - what a challenge!!

I saw this fun card featuring 3 strips of design with the main element at the bottom left on page 158 of our Annual Catalogue and decided on a fun simple layout for my card.

I've used some paper from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP which is not a Christmas paper, and then created this fun folded card which can be displayed on a shelf!!

The card base is the standard size, and the fold out is 14 cm x 29cm scored at 10, 16.5, 23 & 26cm.

The patterned papers are 13.5 cm x 9.5cm; 13.5 x 6 & 13.5 x 2.5 with another white panel for writing measuring 13.5 x 6cm.

To make this card into a Christmas card I just added Red Jewels and greetings from the Merriest Moments stamp set.

I loved it so much I created the same card design using Eden's Garden papers with the Christmas Tree Dies; and the Whimsy & Wonder paper with the Christmas Tree dies.

Here's the insides of all of my fun fold out cards!!

UP next on our hop this time is the awesome Monique.

Please join in the fun with us and add your Christmas project to the lineup on our Facebook challenge page here.

Scrapbooking Global Hop - layout inspiration

Hello and Welcome!!

Today, I'm sharing a scrapbook page for a super fun challenge with Scrapbooking Global!!  Make sure you hop all the way around to see all the amazing projects we are sharing with you.

The theme this time is so cool!!  It was designed by Courtenay.

I have found my scrap layout from Mr Google and it comes from Noreen Smith from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine.

I always have so many photos to scrap (as I can never choose which ones I love the best!), so doing a double spread was the best way for me to go.  My page is actually very simple and fairly minimalistic.

I've used the lovely Ever Eden cotton paper (only available until the end of this year) which I scrunched and then flattened before attaching it to the bottom of both of my pages.  It is Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen which I think worked with the grass in my photos.

My Very Vanilla background was stamped using the lovely Quiet Meadow stamp set with Sahara Sand and Soft Succulent inks.

The title for my pages comes from Tasteful Touches on a lovely frame using the Tasteful Labels dies.

The little extra elements are Sahara Sand Pierced Blooms dies and some linen thread.  I've also added some gorgeous Garden Gems (also only available until the end of the year).

On one of my journaling strips, I've partly stamped one of the greetings from the Nature's Harvest stamp set.  As I didn't want all of the greeting, I coloured in the half I wanted using the Soft Succulent stampin marker to stamp it.

Up next is the super awesome Sharon who ALWAYS inspires me!!

Here's the list of everybody in the hop - make sure you check them all out  as you're sure to be inspired every time!!

The lovely paper and gems in my project are from this lovely collection - click here to see them in my online store.

Bright and Cheerful Merriest Moments for colour INKspiration challenges.

Hello and Welcome!

Tonight I'm sharing a project in the Colour INKspiration challenge!!  This is a super talented group of amazing creative ladies, and the colours for the challenge are inspired by some gorgeous images.

The colours this time are:  Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron, Gray Granite!!

I am a little time poor this week, so I've gone for a quick simple stamping card!!  My first step was to sponge Daffodil Delight using a blending brush in the centre of the card, and also on the corners for my piece inside the card.  I then stamped the leaves using the Merriest Moments stamp set and Mint Macaron, as well as the little spots using the Gray Granite.

I stamped the greeting using Poppy Parade, as well as a bunch of flowers which I fussy cut for both the front of the card and inside.  I love the way the flowers just POP in the amazing Poppy Parade!

My finishing touch was some jewels in the centres of the flowers on the front of the card.

Do you like this card?  Would you like to make one the same?  All you need is some cardstock, ink, a blending brush and the Merriest Moments stamp set which is soooo versatile and easy to use!!

Blackberry Beauty inspiration CTC#345

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night blog hop and challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week we are CASEING the colours of the Blackberry Beauty paper - which are:

This card is a very special card for a 50th birthday and I hope she loves it!!  I've used a new stamp set we used at our recent Stampin' Up! training event.  It is called Blessings of Home and it coordinates with a lovely set of dies called Flowers of Home.  Actually my card is sharing lots of new products!!  I've also used a new embossing folder called Gingham on the Gold foil and some Iridescent jewels.

I stamped the images using the Saddle Brown Stazon Ink onto Shimmery white cardstock.  I then watercoloured the flowers using a water painter and all the ink colours.  The die cuts use Early Espresso and Cinnamon Cider cardstock.  I stamped the greeting from Elegantly Said using Blackberry Bliss ink.

This card is a twisted easel  and is extra large - measuring 14.5 x 14.5cm  when it's folded.  After I'd finished it I thought it looked really plain and so I drew a wavery line freehand around the edges using my Early Espresso marker.

I repeated this on the inside of the card too.

The inside flowers act as an anchor for the easel when it stands up.

Here's a video showing how I made this card!!

I'm happy to show you this card in a class - contact me so we can make a time together!!

UP next on our hop this week is the amazing Michelle!!

You are invited to join in the fun and share your projects using these colours.
