Four Seasons blog hop

Hello and Welcome to our monthly Scrapbooking blog hop.

This group is an amazing group of  scrappers who exclusively use Stampin' Up! products - which I think is fabulous!!  Each month one of the design team members choose a challenge for us all.

This month the amazing Sharni has created a 'Four Seasons' challenge!!  What a cool theme!!

I live in Queensland where we really don't experience 4 seasons - our gum trees are evergreens and look the same year round; we're not cold enough for snow (or even frost!!) and we really have 2 seasons - the dry (during winter) and wet (during summer).  So I've focussed on the word Season and used photos from our favourite pastime - bush walking.

This beautiful sentiment and the stamped falling leaves are a sneak peek from a NEW stamp set coming in our Mini Catalogue which starts next month - called Welcoming Woods.  I've cut it using our Ornate Frames dies and mounted it on some trimmed Paper Lattice.  You can also see another sneak peek in the background - a strip of  Cork specialty paper - doesn't it look awesome!!

I've paired the season sentiment with another gorgeous phrase from our Hostess Stamp Set - Better Places with the same die cut Ornate Frame and the Paper Lattice.

My main scrapping embellishment is the Inspiring Canopy dies with all the lovely trees - just like home.

Perhaps you've guessed that I'm a big fan of GREEN??  I've used almost (but not all)  our Stampin' Up! greens.  I've used:  Evening Evergreen and Old Olive for the background pieces, Pear Pizzazz for the sentiments, and Granny Apple Green, Mossy Meadow and Garden Green for the leaves.  That leaves only Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, Mint Macaron, Soft Succulent and Soft Sea Foam that I didn't use - sigh we are soooo blessed to have so many divine greens to choose!!  Thankyou Stampin' Up!

Up next on our hop this month is the amazing Marga.

Make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see all the amazing work by everyone on this very creative and fun challenge!!
Here's the list of everyone in the hop for you in case you get lost along the way!!

Succulents colours CI#103

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge.

This challenge is all about inspiration images combined with some amazing Stampin' Up! © colours.

I loove the colour palate this time!!!  I love all these autumnal earthy tones.

I've created a double easel fold using the gorgeous Simply Succulents stamp set and coordinating Potted Succulents dies.

The plants were coloured using Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends and then cut out using the dies.  I've sponged the plant container using blending brushes and Bumblebee ink.

I made the card with a double easel - one in front to show off more of the gorgeous succulents.

The brick and mortar embossing folder was also coloured with Blending Brushes and some of the inks.

You can see lots of amazing projects on our Facebook page, and you are welcome to join in the fun with us too!!

Time to step it up CTC#326

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogue (CATTY).

This week, we are stepping up our project and layout!!  There are lots of great examples of this technique scattered through our catalogue and it's a lovely way to introduce new people to the joy of cardmaking and stamping.

Annual Catalogue page 12 © Stampin' Up! 2021

I have used this gorgeous fishy card from page 12 as my starting point for my Step it Up journey.

I have used the wonderful Seascape bundle of the gorgeous Seascape stamp set and coordinating Sea Life dies.  The first and simplest card is this one in the front of my trio - and it is very similar to the project in the catalogue.  It mostly uses simple stamping with the added touch of the gorgeous die featuring this lovely fish.

Inside the card is more simple stamping and plenty of room to write a greeting.

The second card for my Step it Up trio is one I've featured before on this blog hop.  If you are a regular you may have recognised it!!  I've added a fussy cut stamped fish, some torn edge stamped paper for the sand detail and I've sponged extra detail and colour onto the fish.

Inside this card features a few more fussy cut fish and the torn edge.

The most complex card is my trio is a 3D card with a window sheet front layer to create extra dimension and to look like an aquarium.

There is more stamping and blending with colour on the back layer of the card, and lots more die cutting detail on the window sheet layer.

I've again used the torn edge layer for the sand detail.  The Calypso Coral seaweed layer is actually a piece from the Seaside Seashells die.

It was a bit tricky trying to photograph the window sheet without collecting a whole bunch of reflection!!

The back of the card features a stamped and sponge panel.  I was thrilled with the way this card turned out!!

Here's a video showing how I put this card together !

Which is your favourite fishy card????

Up next on our hop tonight is the amazing Tina and her wonderful project.

We hope you're so inspired by our blog hop that you will join in the challenge with us and share your 'stepped up' project with us on our Facebook challenge page here.
