Peachy retiring DSP CTC#365

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY!.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING our favourite designer papers!!

I find choosing a favourite FAR to difficult, so I decided to make a card with some paper that I haven't used very much.  I've taken my inspiration from page 60 of our Annual Catalogue and the You're a Peach Suite and this card that uses some lovely fussy cut images as well as a few of the different designs of papers in the collection.

All of this suite is retiring on 2nd May - so make sure you grab yours before they sell out!!    This lovely You're a Peach paper (only $12.00) has so many gorgeous designs!!  I've fussy cut the flowers and added them onto the card with stripes and spotty papers.  These are all mounted onto Pale Papaya cardstock.

The greeting was stamped using Calypso Coral and comes from the lovely Garden Wishes stamp set (also retiring half price $19.00).

You can see on the card in the foreground I've used some sweet Pale Papaya ribbon on the front, but I have to acknowledge that the original design using twine works so much better!!  Stampin' Up! creative designers are so clever and inspirational!!

Make sure you keep hopping all the way around!  Up next is the awesome Michelle.

We love you to join in the fun with our challenges each week.  It's easy, just add your photo to our page here!!

Happy Easter to you and your family!!

Easter Inspiration! Colour INKspiration #199

Hello and Welcome to our Easter Inspired colour challenge!!

This is a brilliant and creative group of amazing creative people and a super fun challenge for everyone!

These colours are a loooong way out of my comfort zone, but they are so pretty!!!

So, I went a bit over the top!!  I wanted to do a scrap page, and this photo worked perfectly with these colours!!  So amazing!!  As it turned out, my page ended up featuring stamping only for the greetings which come from the Elegantly Said stamp set.  I heat embossed the greetings with white embossing powder onto Fresh Freesia cardstock and then mounted these onto die cut gold foil.

(Originally I heat embossed directly onto the gold foil........ but that doesn't work!!  The process of heat embossing buckled the foil!!)

Most of the imagery comes from the fabulous Pierced Blooms dies. (On special for only $38.40)   Don't all those stitched flowers work perfectly with the dotty lines from the background designer paper!!  This fun paper comes from the hostess Pattern Party paper.

The papers under the photo come from the Pansy Petals paper and the Subtles designer paper packs. (both currently half price!!)

Lots more pink in this project than is my usual style and I was very glad of the gold details for the leaves (no green in the challenge !!)  I hope you're inspired to join in the fun with us!!

Easter Inspiration for you!! CTC#364

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.  Make sure you keep hopping around everyone to see lots of stunning inspiration for you for this season!!

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE our Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING an Easter project.
What a great time to show off your great crafting skills to your friends and family!!
I think it would be lovely to receive a gift of your time and creativity along with all the chocolates!!

I've been inspired by the lovely Easter Card on page 37 of our Mini Catalogue featuring the stunning Daffodil Daydream bundle.

I don't have this bundle, but I figured that really any bunch of flowers would work nicely with this gorgeous layout!!  I've used the lovely Quiet Meadow for the flower details and the greeting comes from the Celebrating You set.  This is a really useful stamp set, and I made a couple of Mother's Day cards with the exact same supplies too - you can see them in the photo at the top.  I've used the same idea of designer paper in the background and my card features one of the gorgeous New Horizon designer paper designs.

The colours for my project are Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider.  (Both of these colours are retiring at the end of the month and are on special!!)  I've coloured the flowers using Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends for the flowers and So Saffron for the outline.  The finishing touches are the gorgeous Misty Moonlight ribbon bow and some stunning Blue rhinestones.

Up next is the very talented Rachel!!

You are ALWAYS invited to join the fun with us each week by adding your photo to our Facebook challenge page here!!

Tasteful Touches CTC#363 Favourite Retiring Bundle

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING our favourite Retiring Bundle.
Discounted to only $43.20 - a bargain for 10 great dies!

I have chosen to CASE the Tasteful Touches stamp set and Tasteful Labels duo.  They are not currently sold as a bundle, but they have been a real favourite for me!!  I just looooove these dies and have used them soooo much!!

I have used this bundle for scrapping before Here and Here.  I think the greetings in this stamp set work perfectly with Memory keeping.

I've stamped a bunch of flowers using Early Espresso ink, coloured them using Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends, and then fussy cut them out.

More background stamps from the set are stamped using Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee (retiring now and discounted to $7.80) and Crumb Cake inks.

I've used 4 different dies from the Tasteful Labels dies for my title and journaling with my Early Espresso stampin' write marker.  I love the stitched and bevelled edges on these shapes!!

My last embellishment is some Brushed Metallic dots scattered around the page.

This is quite a very simple page - lots of stamping but it's just basically a bunch of clusters around my photos - I don't often scrap with just 1 or 2 photos (as I usually have too many!!) so this was fun and quick to create!!

UP next is the totally awesome Rebecca and her favourite.

Please join in the fun with us and share your project on our Facebook challenge page here!!!

The BIGGEST sale of the year is right HERE!!  Grab a bargain before they sell out!!!
