Stampin' Up! Touches of Texture

I was so looking forward to using this new stamp set after I was inspired by some projects created by Shelli Gardner - and I'm not disappointed with my result!  I've used the inspiration from the card in the challenge at GDP this week - and you can see all the amazing projects the design team have made in response to this lovely card when you click on the image.

I've used the floral image, linen thread, and collage stamping for my inspiration - and then I got a bit carried away and used the new Burlap Ribbon and the Very Vanilla Lace Trim as well!!
I've also used the lovely Gold Wink of Stella brush to highlight the flower, add a few splatters, and colour the wonderful dragonfly.

So, my creation has turned into having a life of its own!!  What do you think?  I love the way inspiration can go in all sorts of directions!!!

  5. Julia, the Peach works perfectly with the rest of your chosen colours. I had to look twice at that stamp set too. It's gorgeous, just like your card! Thank you so much for joining us at Global Design Project as we CASE Shawn this week.

  7. Yes I have used very vanilla for the stamping. I really love the vintagey feel of the vanilla for collage stamping! And yes I did use our fabulous thick white card stock for the base. It's really great for stability and a great finish to the card. And Thankyou for your lovely kind words. It's exciting to know I have a follower! Happy stamping!
