Loving Christmas

I have had a busy Christmas break with lot of family and friends and as a consequence I've been VERY quiet on the blog front!!!    Here are some of the gifts I have given to friends and family as a token of our love and friendship - they are a little tree decoration showing the true meaning of Christmas.

This stamp set Glory to the Newborn King is a lovely set, and it works so beautifully on the star shape!!  I hope you like it too!!  I am entering this project into the challenge this week at Just Add Ink - giving and it suits perfectly don't you think?

Project Life Layout

Project Life is such a fun and quick way to record great memories and to do simple embellishments while retaining the importance of journalling - which is a wonderful part of scrapbooking - telling the story and recreating the wonderful memories from the photos!!

So, the challenge this week for SUO ( http://suochallenges.com/ )  is perfect for showcasing Project Life and Stampin' Up!     I LOVE the great Project Life kits for Stampin' Up!,
but this layout uses some bits and bobs I had on my desk!  I have cut my DSP (some new FREE Best Year Ever DSP for Sale-a-bration!! YUMMO!!) into PL sizes of 3" x 4" and 4" x 6" along with my photos - and then used the Project Life corner rounder punch for all the corners.  My journalling panel is one of Stampin' Up's Grid Cards also cut with the corner rounder punch.

My embellishments include the delicious FREE Best Year Ever Accessory Pack for Sale-a-bration which includes ribbon and buttons, along with some coordinating washi tape from the Everyday Adventure PL kit.

I have also used the What's Up arrow punch, Essentials Wooden Elements, and the Remember This stamp set.

Be sure to go to the SUO challenge blog by clicking HERE to get some great inspiration and ideas and then join in the challenge to use some Stampin' Up! Project Life products or layout for our challenge this week!!

Merry and Bright Winter Holiday

This week at SUO we have a challenge to make a project featuring something for a winter holiday.  Now in sunny Queensland Australia, we don't have any snow ever, but I really love the romantic look of snowflakes and the magic that goes with it!! (even though I think I would find it very cold indeed)

So I have made a notebook as a gift and I have used lots of wintery motifs!!  The large snowflake is actually a retired die used with the big shot - as is the alphabet set used for Stella's name!!  The stamping comes from Many Merry Stars stamped onto the blue note pad using white stazon ink, and onto the name using Lost Lagoon ink.

The other embellishemnts are sequins and snowflakes from the Frosted Sequins kit, and a bit of silver ink spritzed with the spritzer and some rubbing alcohol.  I think this looks very like a Winter project - what do you think?

Now go and check out http://suochallenges.com/ by clicking HERE and see what the other design team members have created to inspire you, and then join in the challenge yourself!!

More cuteness with Peppa Pig

After being inspired by my other Peppa Pig card (post from a couple of days ago), I've made another little cutie.  This time I've used smaller circle punches and swapped the balloons for a cute little cupcake!!

The colours are very similar to before - real red, pink pirouette and blushing bride.

Yummy Christmas packaging

More goodies ready for Christmas - this time shortbread made with macadamia meal and rice flour - so gluten free and quite yummy!!

Packaging the bikkies was super easy with the gift tags made using the angle top punch, and the fantastc petite cafe treat bags!!

They all look so good all together under the tree!!

They have all be given to the recipients now, so the tree is empty again and waiting for more goodies to be created!!

Christmas yummyness!

I think I made about 30 of these little Christmas bonbons (they are just big enough for a little tiny chocolate bar inside) and they have all be given to work colleagues of my husband!!.

After I found this awesome tutorial HERE, I kept making them!!  You use the envelope punch board to create the parts of the cracker that fold in, and it works an absolute treat!

Peppa Pig cuteness

This little cutie was for my gorgeous little neice, and I CASED it from HERE at http://stampindelight.co.uk/peppa-pig-punch-birthday/

I've used lots of different punches - circles, ovals, and flowers (the hands are petals  with an arm cut to meet them),

My little niece loved it and cuddled the card!!!

Tag It

This week at SUO Challenges, we are looking at tags - on gifts, or cards or plain tags!!  I love to give a Christmas decoration each year to my nearest and dearest - so THIS year, I'm giving a tag!!

Doesn't it look lovely hanging in the tree?   I have used the marvellous Wondrous Wreath as the centrepiece of my tag with the lovely "Joy" cut from the glorious gold glimmer paper with the coordinating framelit.  I've mounted the "Joy" on the delicious wide cherry cobbler linen ribbon.

My tag has been created with the scalloped tag topper - but it's a bit hidden behind the sumptous gold satin ribbon tied in a bow at the top with some sparkly sequin trim coming from the bottom of the bow.

I've also flagged the bottom of the tag too - along with the ends of the lovely ribbon.

Tags are so lovely and versatile!!  Be sure to go to our challenge to see some other great ideas for tags, AND to put your entry into the challenge too!!

Getting ready for Christmas

I've made a whole bunch of super quick and simple cards ready for the gift giving season!!

The lovely tree punch  makes the embellishment quick and easy, and I punch out the little tub for the tree using the tree punch upside down too - just chop off the top and bottom and there is the tub!!

A little bit of washi tape, and the card is done!!
