A very Bush Christmas cardmaking blog hop

Hello and Welcome to our December Crafting blog hop!!

We are a happy group of cardmakers who love to craft together!!  And we love to share with you too!

Our theme this month is a Bush Christmas

And I've used the lovely Magical Meadow stamp set to try and create some 'bushiness' for my Christmas star decorations.

The colours for the stamping are:  Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam with Old Olive sponged over the top using a blending brush.  The colours for the whole card, I think, are very evocative of the Australian Bush - including the Poppy Parade card base and the teeny tiny Crushed Curry berries looking a little like gum blossoms.

I've also die cut some extra greenery with one of the Magical Meadow dies and Old Olive.  I think the linen thread bows and strings for the stars make it look a bit more rustic for the Bush theme!!

Inside the card features the same 'bushy' stamping along with a few more die cut stars.  Did you notice the layer of vellum on the front and inside?  I love the soft effect it gives to the card!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of amazing projects for our theme!!

Loving Stars at Night CTC#448

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING from the bundles chapter in our Mini Catalogue.

I've been inspired by the lovely Stars at Night bundle on page 72.  I just loooooove this bundle and have used it so many times!

This is quite a simple card using the lovely O Holy Night paper and the totally fabulous Holographic Foil!!

Can you see the gorgeous different colours you can get using the holographic paper!!  I LOVE it!

The image in the catalogue actually uses the Stars at Night hybrid folder but I was too lazy to go to that trouble, so I've just layered the plain stars die cut on top of each other.  I love the little tiny embossed detail on the die cut stars.

Inside the card is simple stamping using Gray Granite ink.

Love for Stampin' UP! kits CTC#447

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Catalogues.

This week, our theme is all about the fantastic kits.

I've been having a wonderful time using the Rustic Christmas Countdown kit - which is the inspiration for my card.

The background paper is actually one of the little pockets cut up and folded out - and it looks lovely!

I've also created a wreath from the elements using the Deckled Circles dies.

The stamped greetings comes from the Brightest Glow stamp set.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots more great inspiration!

Christmas Classics given the colour challenge treatment!

Hello and Welcome to our fantastic colour INKspiration challenge!

This is a super fun challenge featuring gorgeous images and amazing colour combinations!

Well, I love this image!!  But the colours also work amazingly splendidly for Christmas!!

So I've used them with the fabulous Christmas Classics stamp set (which is retiring so make sure you order it FAST if you'd like to get it before it's totally sold out!!)

I just love how EASY this stamp set is to use!  I've stamped the leaves and then the berries and added some blending, and I'm done!

Because the card is so simple, I had to add some layering and the ribbon to give more interest!

Inside the card is also some gorgeous stamping!!  These colours were a total dream to use for Christmas!
