2012 in Review

This month at Just Add Ink, the challenge is to do a layout of 2012 in Review and I thought this was a fabulous idea!!!  I thought it would be a perfect time to have a go at using the Divided Page Protectors - which is something I have never used before - and this sort of a layout seems to me to be the perfect way to make use of them - lots of different photos and lots of different events over the period of a year.

I had fun decorating each little part of these pockets - and in the process I used lots of my new toys!!!

My basic colours are So Saffron, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple.

Because a year is a rather long time, I ended up doing a double layout - another first for me too!!  I'm usually a one page only girl!!

Some of the stamp sets I have used include Hearts a Flutter, That's the Ticket, Feel Goods, Ciao Baby,  Pretty Petites and Itty Bitty Banners.

I have also used the Petite Curly Label Punch, some two toned ribbon, bakers twine, itty bitty buttons, vintage faceted buttons, silver basics designer buttons and designer builder brads.

I have used some new paper doilies, and some new Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.

I also had fun using some delicate details lace tape.

What a great way to think about all the things in a year to be grateful for!!  In the process of doing this project I also realised that we did a bit of camping last year - lucky us!!!

Page 6 and 7

It's getting a bit too much for one page each day, so I will do 2 pages for each day for the rest of the book!!

Stamp sets:  Hearts a Flutter, Cross My Heart, and Ciao Baby!

I love this little crossword set!!

This time the background page is Marina Mist, but this ink is still Real Red and Night of Navy

and page 7 is done on a real red background paper for a bit of a change!!

I've used Take a Ticket again on this page (by now you can see which are some of my favourites!!!) and also a greeting from Bloomin Marvellous.

Colours this time include Marina Mist, as well as the Night of Navy and the Real Red.

The little leaf is punched from the Builder Bird Punch.

Page 5

This page was fun to do - just because the photos were so much fun too!!

Once again I used Hearts a Flutter and the framelits, and also Ciao Baby! and it's coordinating cute little punch.

Easy Peasy!!

Page 4

This page has few embellishments - mainly some scrunched filter paper mini scallop flowers.  I punched 8 layers of filter paper, and scrunched each layer of the flower after I put a brad through the middle of all of them.  After the flowers were scrunched, I then dipped them directly into the ink pad - the lovely juicy new ink pads absorb very easily into the filter paper - giving the flowers a lovely two tone look.

I've used a couple of greetings from the Lovely Little Labels set, and Pennant Parade for my stamping.

The third page of the 21st book uses the same colour scheme - Night of Navy and Real Red.

Stamps for this page include Hearts a Flutter, Take a Ticket, and Daydream Medallians.

I added a couple of buttons threaded with bakers twine, along with a few flag ribbons on this page.

More 21st

The second page of my book for my God Daughter's 21st birthday gift.

Once again I am using Night of Navy and Real Red ink.  The stamps I have used this time are Take a Ticket, Layered Labels, Number It, Broadsheet Alphabet, and Pretty Petites.  The Delicate Doilies Motif is featured on every page of the book.

Happy 21st

My darling God Daughter is 21, and as part of her gift I made her a book of photos from some of our celebratory dinners we have had together!!

The first page of her book features her with one of her birthday cakes - she has had a great time celebrating with friends and family in lots of different places all over Queensland!

I have used lots of different stamp sets for this page - Hearts A Flutter, Ciao Baby, Take a Ticket, Delicate Doilies, Itty Bitty Banners and Pretty Petites.  The Pretty Petites stamp set is one of the Sale-a-bration stamp sets, so I can use this page in the latest challenge for still addINKtive: Spot the SAB stamp set.

My colours for this page are the classic colours of Night of Navy and Real Red - to match her lovely dress!!

I have also used the Hearts a Flutter framelits, and the labels framelits.

Pretty Petites has a gorgeous little punch that coordinates with it too!!
