Tea for Two best things

This is a great layout for a quick 12 x 12 page and it is also the criteria for this week's challenge at Just Add Ink to Just add this sketch which is this:

This is our scrap book page for our class this week.  I have used 5 photos on this page which is organised in a grid of 9 squares scored each at 4" along the sides.

I have made use of the lovely patterns on the Tea for Two DSP to create interest on some of the squares - using chevrons and the hexagons too.

I have also used the borders plate for the Simply Scored  for some texture on the title square which also features one of the lovely sentiments of the Feel Goods stamp set.

This is another of the patterns of the Tea for two DSP which has been embellished with some boho blossom punched flowers and a coloured brad.

The Oh Hello stamp set has some lovely chevron designs too that I have stamped down the sides.  The journalling panel comes from the Sent with Love DSP which is available at the moment.

Vellum Embossing

How Awesome is this!!  When you run Vellum Card stock through the Big Shot with an Embossing Folder it will create white embossing and it looks just sooo amazing!!

I have used the Vintage Wallpaper (one of my favourites) on the vellum cardstock and then mounted it on some Marina Mist so you see the lovely soft blues through the textured image.  This was mounted onto a Certainly Celery card.

The embellishment cluster comprises some white organza ribbon with the Marina Mist organza ribbon over the top of it.  Peeking out underneath is a quarter of a paper doily and on the top of the knot of the ribbon is a mini soda pop top which has been squashed in the big shot!!  I have stamped and Itty Bitty image and then punched it using the Itty Bitty Punch pack.  The Greeting somes from Itty Bitty Banners.  Finally to add some  bling I have dotted some Dazzling Details around the pattern of the Vellum.

This is a great project to enter into the challenge at suo challenges to add anything Sizzix which is the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder!!

Our Get Together - Julia's Card

For My Card I have taken advantage of the current Promotion at Stampin' Up! which is the Sent with Love bundle - it includes a lovely stamp set with some coordinating DSP and some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine.

We created a cute little parcel on a card!!  Colours are Calypso Coral; Island Indigo; Crumb Cake; and Pool Party.  Stamp Sets are Sent with Love and Lovely Little Labels.

We used a few punches for this card too!!  Both the postage stamp punch and the itty bitty postage stamp punch along with the jewellery tag punch; the corner rounder punch and the small scallop circle punch.

Here is some more info on this great promotion!!

These are the lovely patterns on the Designer Series Paper.

Mum's 70th Birthday

My Sister and I have been working on the invitations for my Mum's 70th Birthday party - and this is what we have created.  Mum told us she likes green, pink and cream...... and she is also an amazingly good crocheter, knitter, tatter, sewer and general crafty lady!!  This lovely stamp - Hello Doily just epitomises Mum to a T!

We heat embossed the doily with white embossing powder, and then placed the greeting over the top.  My sister is a wiz with the computer, so we used the computer for the printing on the front, and for the actual invitation inside which is printed onto Vellum cardstock.  The greeting was cut with one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits.

Bookmark

Over the Easter period I made a few of these bookmarks to give some friends in my Bible Study group.  I have found the Crosses of Hope a great stamp set to use for all sorts of occasions and in particular I really love this floral cross.  Underneath I have stamped some swirls from the From My Heart stamp set, and this idea I have copied from our Annual Catalogue on page 55.  This is the page that illustrates this lovely stamp set, and the ideas accompanying each stamp set are so inspirational - I find myself turning to the catalogue often when I am creating projects!

A Gift for You

I really enjoyed making this sweet little card - it is simple, yet, really pretty (I think)

I have used half a paper doily, half a strip of lace trim, and then some ribbon tied together and embellished with flower trim.

And the final detail is the greeting which comes from Bring On the Cake - it has been punched with the oval punch, and then mounted onto the scallop oval.  Lastly I sprayed the entire piece with some Isocol mixed with Champagne shimmer mist to make it all sparkly!!  (Can't really see the pretty sparkles in the photo.

Sisters

This Digital Scrapbooking is addictive!!  Here is another page I did, and again, it uses the theme from the challenge at Just Add Ink - Just add siblings

I have learnt a lot about using the "punches" on My Digital Studio with this layout.  The layout is also from Pagemaps and is this one:

More Digital Scrapbooking

I have been having more fun with My Digital Studio!!  You can have a free trial too!!  Just click on the link on the side and have a try too!!

The page with Mum has some stitching on it, as well as some tape, ink splatters, ribbon and some Designer Series Paper!!  How amazing is that!! As you can see this is my first foray into the world of Digital Scrapbooking and it has been an absolute revelation!!!

And this page is one of the design templates - all I had to do was slot in a couple of photos - add some journalling and a couple of extras - stamped flourish and some stitching under the title - and TA DA - done!! Loving this!!

Brothers

I have a new TOY!!  I have been trying Digital Scrapbooking for the very first time
and have had SO much fun!!

Stampin' Up! had released My Digital Studio into Australia and so I have had to have a go!!
This month for Just Add Ink, the challenge is to Just Add Siblings - click here to see the challenge and I have followed the example of  Delys and Tina by doing a digital layout.

I have tried some vintage effects - sponging and an ink slat, along with using the Timeless Type punches for the title piece.  The 'stamps' are a flourish in the top and bottom corners, but they are quite subtle, as well as the Word Play stamp laughter.  I know I still have LOTS to learn but I think I've made a fairly good first attempt!!!
