A twist on the He's the Man DSP CTC#371

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues!!

This week, we are CASEING the Colours of the He's the Man designer paper - and these colours are:

The He's the Man Suite has been a favourite in my craft room last week - and I created a couple of gorgeous projects using these colours last week here and here.
I wanted to use the colours in an unexpected way so I pulled out my waterpainter to revisit an old favourite technique - watercolouring.

This is one of the Host Stamp sets which are available at a discounted price for qualifying orders.  It's called Sit Stay Relax and has some lovely greetings and these cute pets.

I used all of the colours to do my watercolouring - which worked perfectly for the shading and depth for the images.  They were stamped first using Stazon Ink on watercolour paper, and then I had a quiet time colouring and painting.

The image on the inside of the card was coloured using the Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends so I could compare the 2 techniques of colouring.....and I have to say that I do prefer the watercolouring on the front!! Time for me to do some more!!

Up next is the amazing Michelle and her great masculine card!!

Celebrating our new colours

Hello and Welcome to our Colour Challenge!!

This challenge uses some great inspiration photos combined with fabulous Stampin' Up! colours.

This week, we are celebrating our NEW Incolours!!

I've managed to combine all of these colours on my project featuring the cute Sweet Songbirds bundle of the Sweet Songbirds stamp set, and the Songbirds builder punch. The little bird was stamped using Starry Sky ink onto Orchid Oasis cardstock.  I stamped the little eyes on the bird using white ink which turned out to be a perfect match for the Orchid cardstock!!  The leaves and flowers were stamped using the Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet - and there's almost all the colours!

The final colour - Tahitian Tide is the background colour for the cardstock and the ombre glimmer paper - AND I was thrilled to discover that it's so easy to stamp onto the glimmer paper - and it looks fabulous!!  I decided on an easel fold to show off my little cute singing bird!!

Nature's Harvest CTC#370

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.  Make sure you keep hopping to see everyone's fabulous projects!!

This week, we are CASEING from the Bundles Chapter of the Mini Catalogue - pages 75 to 83.

I was inspired by the very first page of the chapter!!  I wanted to try the fun White Wash technique and the Nature's Harvest stamp set and layout worked perfectly!!  I just changed some of the colours.

The flowers were stamped in Cherry Cobbler onto Sweet Sorbet cardstock (one of our new In Colours) and then I coloured the petals of the daisies using White Ink and a blender pen.  It dries a little lighter than the white ink, and so created lovely pink flowers!!  The die cut blooms from the Harvest Dies were cut from the fun pink shimmer paper which worked perfectly with the metallic Sweet Sorbet ribbon!

Inside the card, I've stamped the smaller flower image from this gorgeous Nature's Harvest stamp set using Sweet Sorbet.  It goes well with the Petal Pink card base I think!

The gorgeous Natures' Harvest bundle really worked perfectly!!

UP next is the amazing Michelle.

Please join in the fun with us and share your project on our Facebook challenge page here.

Scrapbooking Global blog hop - MAP!!

Hello and Welcome to our monthly awesome Scrapbooking Blog Hop!!!

This is a group of amazing international creatives who use Stampin' Up! products to do some fabulous scrapbooking.

This month we have the fabulous Sharon who designed our challenge with the theme MAP.

Sooooooo, I've used the map piece of vellum from the Printed Vellum pack to scrap the end of our son's study 'journey' - a very tenuous theme to Map!

To supplement this fabulous paper, I've also used a bunch of supplies from the He's The Man Suite.

I've used the He's The Man designer paper for some of the great embellishments on the page, as well as the piece underneath the vellum.  It's a bit hard to see, but it has a great textured design in Sahara Sand that looks a little like hessian or burlap.

I've also used a bunch of great die cuts from the All That dies (also from this Suite) including the flag ends, the fun die cut argyle pattern, and the great scalloped circle for the stamped compass rose.

The tile was created using the marvellous Alphabest Bundle of the Alphabest stamp set and coordinating Best Label punch.  This was a bunch of fun!!

The compass rose near the journalling panel (check out that AWESOME die cut from the He's the Man designer paper!) was stamped twice.  I then fussy cut the compass points from the piece stamped on Pacific Point and pieced it onto the original with the finishing touch of a rustic metallic dot.

Make sure you check out this He's the Man suite!!  It's so versatile.
My previous post for today also features this great suite!

UP next is the extraordinarily talented Sharni.

And here is the list of everybody in the hop in case you get lost along the way!!
