Leafy Christmas Tree Colour INKspiration #178

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in with the Colour INKspiration crew and our awesome colour combination!!

Check out these gorgeous colours!

I'm not super happy with my card, but it does fulfil the challenge for this week!!

I've used the reversibles stamp set Planted Paradise to create a Christmas Tree in a triangle shape.

The background for the front panel was created using the Fern embossing folder which I coloured using Old Olive and a blending brush.

Inside the card is a little stamped panel using a greeting from Decorative Trees.

I embellished the tree using Rhinestones and Clear dots with a luxurious bow on the base.

So, really, you can create a Christmas Tree for anything!!

Autumn wreath CTC#497

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING the colours of the Spendid Autumn DSP.

I had a crack at trying to include ALL the colours in the DSP - Wild Wheat, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Moody Mauve and Cajun Craze - but some of these will be a bit tricky to see!!

The colouring for the gorgeous wreath from the Winterly Tree Tops stamp set is in Mossy Meadow and Moody Mauve.

I've layered the stamped greeting onto the teeny piece of Cajun Craze, and the card base and ribbon are Cherry Cobbler.

And the Wild Wheat is featured on the Regal Winter designer paper.

Inside the card you can see a little more Moody Mauve on the bird!!

Up next is the extraordinary Rebecca

Keep hopping to see lots of amazing projects!

Fun with Scrapbooking Tic Tac Toe - can you see the inspiration?

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today is Scrapbooking Global day!! Each month we share some great inspiration for you1!

This month's challenge has been set by the fabulous Sherry Roth who does extraordinary scrapbooking!
This month it is Tic Tac Toe Board, which you choose your own adventure. Diagonally, Straight through the board from left to right or right to left or choose the middle lines. So Tic Tac Toe Boards are a FUN way to incorporate a couple of different elements on your scrapbooking layout to give yourself a challenge.

Soooo, can you see where my inspiration has come from?  I've gone for the first column on the left - splatter, green (of course) and torn paper!! This is a match made in heaven for me!!  teeheee

I looooove the two tone paper - it tears beautifully AND you can flip the paper to get 2 different tones of the same colour!!  Love love love!!  And it's green - total love too!!

And splatter is just a BRILLIANT way to add extra vintagy texture and stampingness to a page!

I'm also featuring the gorgeous Autumn to Remember Workshop Scrapbooking kit combined with the stunning Autumn to Remember stamp set - look at those wonderful leaves!!

I just love how this page came together!!  I love all those stickers and die cuts from the workshop kits - it makes putting together a page sooooo much quicker!!

I really hope YOU are inspired to try this!!
Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AMAZING projects!!

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - Christmas!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm joining the fabulous paper crafting monthly blog hop of fabulous international crafters.  Join us for a world tour of inspiration!

My project this month is a Christmas gift for some very special people.

It features the glorious Regal Winter paper with the Regal Flora bundle.  The colours in the paper are so luxurious and deep, so I’ve paired the paper with Night of Navy and Blueberry Bushel.

Each of the gifts has a belly band with coordinating ribbon threaded through one of the fabulous Peaceful Season dies, which was then embellished with some of the lovely new gold thread included in the Online Exclusives this month.

And the Tinsel Gems, have great little embellishments that coordinate perfectly!!!

The little gift package is 12” x 7 1/2” scored at 5 1/2” on the short side, and scored at 4 1/2” and 9” on the long side.  It folds into three and then I wrapped a length of cardstock around the pouch to create the belly band.

Inside the gift package is some fabulous Tinsel Gems which are used on the front of the project too!!  I hope you like this little gift idea!!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AWESOME inspiration!!
