Mini Catalogue Favourites? CTC#342

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty)

This week, we are CASEING our favourite project in the Mini Catalogue.....and I ask you, how can I have just ONE favourite?????  Eventually I saw a card that I had wanted to do from the very first time I glanced through this catalogue.  It is on page 56 and I love it's vintage feel and the gorgeous colouring with Stampin' Blends.

And I have CASED this card directly before.....

but this time I created it with my new favourite fancy fold!!

It's an open book fold and my card also features a sneak peek for a NEW Stamp set coming next year called In The Moment - this stamp set was a free gift from Stampin' Up! as part of an event I'm going too.  I am so grateful to the generosity of Stampin' Up! - it's so fabulous to be part of this great company!! You would totally love it too!!

When I saw this image I just KNEW this was made for my daughter - so this card is her 21st birthday card!!  Everything about it is perfect!!

Now, what have I CASED from the original?

I've used the same colours:  Soft Succulent, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam and a pop of Poppy Parade.  I've also taken the central circle image and the vintage details of the card including the text in the background and texture on the edge of the paper.  I've also added similar ribbon detail under the main greeting and also a bit of extra ribbon under the main image.  I've also flicked Soft Suede ink with a water painter which was totally inspired by the card in the catalogue.

The back of my card features a large writing panel with similar elements.  You can see some of the vintage elements here including the sponging with Soft Suede and a blending brush around the edges.

Here's a video of  how I've made this card and the measurements in case you want to have a go creating it too!!  It's pretty easy and looks sooooo cool!!!

Up next is the totally awesome Michelle!!

Please join in the fun with us this week - what's your favourite Mini Catalogue project????

Welcoming Woods for our Colour INKspiration #110

Hello and Welcome!!

Today, I'm sharing my project for the fabulous Colour INKspiration challenges!!

Here's the inspiration picture and some awesome colours!!  Pale Papaya, Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Shaded Spruce.

I wanted to make a masculine card so I've used Welcoming Woods and the Beautiful Trees dies, and I've created an Open Book Fun Fold card.

On the back of the card is a large stamped panel for writing featuring the same fun stamping using these colours.  The finishing touch is some Pale Papaya sponged to soften the image.

Here are the measurements for the cardstock I've used, and I've also made a video for you showing how I made this card.

Sparkly Inspiration CTC#341

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night blog hop and challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy and Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues!

This week we are CASEING a glittery or sparkly project from either of our catalogues!!

I love the layout of this card on page 13 of our Mini Catalogue which features some gorgeous foil snowflakes - swooon - aren't they stunning!!!  I just love these snowflakes but I don't have them......so onto something that has just landed in my craftroom!!!

This fabulous layout was just PERFECT for me to test run some of the gorgeous new elements in the Eden's Garden suite you can order from the 2nd November as a preorder for our Mini Catalogue next year!!  Woohoo!

I rarely use an angled placement on my projects, and see so many that truely inspire me, so this was my big chance!!  I've used the lovely Brushed Metallic paper for the die cut edges along the Ever Eden paper.  I've stamped the background using Evening Evergreen and the Eden's Garden stamp set.  It's a distinktive set which means when you stamp there are lots of tonal differences which are gorgeous.

I've also stamped inside the Soft Succulent card using the same images and here you can see the tonal qualities much better.

I had a bunch of fun creating this card - really it made itself as the layout was such a fabulous starting point!!

UP next is the fabulous Rachel!!

We would SO love you to join in the fun with us over on our Facebook Challenge page!!

Check out this gorgeous suite in my online store from the 2nd November!!

Scrapbooking with TAGS!! Scrapbooking Global blog hop

Hello and Welcome!!!

Today I'm hopping with this Ah-Mazing group of scrappers as we Tag It!!

This theme was inspired by the amazing Sharni who's work is ALWAYS spectacular!!

Once again I've created a super busy page!!  Photos and tags everywhere!!

When I was thinking about the tag theme, I decided using the lovely Hand Penned memories and more cards would work perfectly!!  They have lots of lovely words and tag-like elements that I've cut out and added gingham ribbon and white twine details.

So, because my starting point was the Hand Penned memories and more cards, I then thought about the colours I would use which coordinate - off to the catalogue to look at the colours listed next to the Hand Penned designer series paper, looked at my photos and decided on Cinnamon Cider, Basic Black and Basic White as my starting point - and the tags would do the rest!!

I also thought, well, what else is there in the Hand Penned suite that would work?  And out came the Penned Flowers dies to cut some white and black elements to pop under photos for extra texture.

My tags were made in a variety of ways - some fussy cut from the memories and more cards; some were the stickers from the memories and more cards; and some were cut using the Tailor Made Tags dies.  I've used these dies to cut some of the memories and more cards as well!!

All of my tags feature the super cool gingham ribbon and a bow tied from white bakers twine.

I also decided to do a little background stamping using the Hand Penned stamp set and Black Stazon ink.

Up next is the super awesome Denise.

Here's the list of everyone on the hop in case you get lost along the way!!

If you love tags, then you'll LOVE this great kit for Christmas!!  Click here to see it all!
