Soft Subtle Cplour INKspiration challenge for Scrapbooking

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn

Today I'm joining in a challenge with the Colour INKspiration crew.

We create using colours inspired by amazing images which have Stampin' Up! colour attributed.

And I've used these gorgeous colours as my starting point for a scrapbook page.

My stamping comes from a Sale-a-bration stamp set that WILL NOT be around after the 29th February 2024!  It's called Detailed Dogwood and is a rather lovely all over collage stamp set!

I stamped the flower many times and coloured it using Stampin' Blends - can you notice that a coloured the background of the flowers using Lemon Lolly (same as the cardstock in the background) so it blends in more and so I didn't have to fussy cut inside the images!

I've also used a new stamp coming in March - online exclusive set called Happy Little Things which has some great greetings!!

I hope you've been inspired by these gorgeous colours!!

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Sketch challenge CTC#458

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm hopping with a bunch of awesome stampers in our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues - CATTY.

Today we are CASEING a sketch from our Sale-a-bration catalogue.

I love a good sketch!!  I've used this as my starting point for a cute card featuring the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder.

I created 2 versions of the same card - which do you like better?  I made the all Pretty Peacock one first but thought that the main element got lost with all the same colour, so then I made the white feature panel.

The background paper is just divine - it comes from the Forever Love specialty paper - and it was my starting point.

My central panel was cut using the Thoughtful Expressions dies.

I love how you can make a bunch of cool greetings all at once using the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid emobssing folder.

Inside the card reflects the gorgeous colours of the front of the card with some fun elements from the Thoughtful Expressions dies and the adhesive backed gold glimmer paper.

So which do you think looks better?  The white front or the continuous Pretty Peacock?

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots more great ideas with this sketch!

And there's lots more inspiration on our Facebook Group here.

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn!!

Today is the day for our monthly paper crafting blog hop with a fabulous interenational group of cardmakers!!  And our theme this month is Sale-a-bration.

I've used the lovely Sunny Days paper to make a fun cloudy card!!  The greeting on the front of the card is also from a Sale-a-bration stamp set.

Inside the card is a fun stepped pop up for the centre featuring more fussy cut clouds.  To create the pop up element, the card stock is the width of your card x 22.5cm scored along the long side at: 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15 & 17.5cm and then folded in a concertina.

The stamped greeting for inside comes from the Perennial Postage stamp set and it is stamped onto a cloud created by using the Cloud Punch.

I love those birds from the On the Ocean stamp set!!

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great Sale-a-bration projects!!
