CTC #24

Well, this week at CASEing the Catty, the challenge is inspired by pages 34 and 35 of the Occasions Catalogue, so, I have used the little card that features the chalkboard technique as my stimulus.

My layout is identical!!  I have used Painted Blooms as my stamp set, and added a little strip of colour alongside my tag (as the paper behind was very busy!!) but, other than that, I went for the EASY OPTION today of CASEing totally!!

Here is the original - what do you thin?  My card is definitely more girly!!! tee hee
Now make sure you have a go too!!  Pop on over to http://caseingthecatty.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/ctc-24-lets-celebrate-easter.html and check out the great work of the design team members, and then just HAVE A GO!!

My bookmark is double sided - so here is the back side too.
I've used Indescribable Gift and Blackberry Bliss Ink with Rich Razzleberry cardstock and cotton ribbon.  I've also used the stencil from the Hooray it's your day cardmaking kit.

Gift Bag

The tag-a-bag kit and tags is SUCH a great deal, and so easy to put together to make some lovely packaging or gifts.  Here I've used the hostess stamp set Hello There for my greeting - so this little gift can be for any occasion!!

Inspiration from others

This is a CASE of an absolutely gorgeous card made by Louise Sharp and you can see her creation if you click on her name.
I have heat embossed white onto vellum, and then coloured with Stampin' Markers on the wrong side to give this lovely soft coloured look.  We will be doing this card at a workshop over the weekend.

Punch Art Easter Bunny

This week atJust Add Ink, the challenge is to use ovals and eggs....... so this is my little guy for my entry - he is just so cute!!!!  I was totally inspired by the card created by Di Barnes - and if you click on her name, you can go to her blog to see her gorgeous little bunny too!!

I've made my card into an easel card, and I've used mostly punches for my bunny - and the body is made from the second smallest oval framelit.  I've embossed all the white with the dotty embossing folder to give him some extra texture.  All of the printed papers comes from Best Year Ever DSP for Sale-a-bration which finishes next week.  My greeting comes from Indescribable gift.

Another Gift Box

Do you remember this little gift box I made last week and featured in Friday's post?  Well, I then had to make a big brother for it!!  I had too many choccies to give as a gift for my uncle, and needed to make the box bigger!  So, I've used one of our Kraft gift boxes, an replicated the same project - and made the bow on top a little bigger.

They look so cute together!!

Circles and Stars scrapbook page

Here is our Scrap page for our class this week.  I've used some of the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP and sponged it for my colourful background.  The 12" x 12" piece is Island Indigo, and my other colours are Crushed Curry, Bemuda Bay, and Coastal Cabana.

There are a few different sized circles, as well as a couple of scallop circle shapes too.  My stamped images come from the Perpetual Calendar Stamp Set - which has some fantastic images for background stamping.

Fun Fold for SUO!

It's really challenging to photograph the fun folds too!!!  I had a cruise around Pinterest, and there are some really great ideas for fun folds!!  My measurements for this card came from Jane Blakely and I've put a copy of her instructions at the end of this blog post so you can have a go too!!

I've simplified my design to make the most of the interest generated by the fold, and I've really had fun using the gorgeous Best Day Every DSP from Sale-a-bration - the colours are certainly fun too!
My greetings come from Big Day - which is also one of our Sale-a-bration offerings available until the end of March.

Be sure to go to SUO challenge blog and put your entry in for our challenge this week.

I also have the honour of being a guest demonstrator for CASEing the Catty Challenges this week - how cool is that???!

To embellish my little gift box, I have a collection of accessories coming from both our Occasions Catalogue, and from our Sale-a-bration offerings.

Sketch Challenge for Caseing the Catty

This week the challenge at Caseing the Catty is a sketch challenge from page 17 of the Sale-a-bration Catalogue - the gorgeous projects from the design team members are truely inspirational.

I really was inspired by the sketch BUT, I have really travelled around the design somewhat!!!  I have the lovely oval in the centre of the card, and the layered background, and there is a butterfly..........

I was having so much fun, that I've made two different designs inspired by this sketch challenge!!!

My colours are inspired by the Adventure Bound Paper pack that I've used as my centrepiece of the panel.  The Always Artichoke comes from the reverse of the wood paneling piece.  After I punched the oval from the patterned paper, I didn't want to waste it.... so, I punched the little butterfly and the hearts from my piece.  The panel which peeks through the oval window  is a sponged panel of the Irresistibly Yours DSP from Sale-a-bration.

I love all the vintage textures of this card!  And it has been ages since I've created a vintage card in my favourite neutrals tones!!

Sheer Perfection Vellum

This is another of our gorgeous cards we made at our recent Get Together - isn't it divine!!

We coloured the back of the vellum with markers in the same colours as the card stock - Pool Party and Old Olive - who would have thought these colours would look so great together!!
The stamped greeting comes from the Build a Bouquet stamp set.

Nature's Perfection

I have really enjoyed this stamp set - the versatility and images are so lovely.  This design again has come from the wonderful resources provided by Stampin' Up! for demonstrators on our demonstrator website - and I love it's simplicity and elegance.  I've changed the colours from the original, and my greeting comes from For Being You, another Sale-a-bration stamp set.  Remember, if you like this stamp set it is ONLY available until the end of March!!  Call me to find out how you can earn this FREE stamp set NOW!

Autumn Colour Challenge

I've made a birthday for my Uncle who is turning 70 using these colours - so this is my male entry for the colour challenge - I love these Autumn colours!!  My background is sponged using the Hooray for You stencil and Tangelo Twist.  My stamp sets are Big Day, and Gorgeous Grunge.
