Silver, silver and more silver

This week I have combined two challenges to come up with my VERY silver card.

and

and here is the sketch.

I've modified the sketch somewhat by placing the bow instead of the three elements across the middle of the card.

My greeting comes from Petite Pairs - a very useful stamp set!! And all my silver pieces are:  silver satin ribbon, silver taffeta ribbon, silver foil paper, dazzling diamonds glimmer paper, silver paper from the Neutrals Patterned Paper stack, soft sky cardstock and shimmery white cardstock.

Sweet Treats!!

Who wouldn't love a gorgeous sweet treat bundled up in this gorgeous paper and ribbon!!  This week at SUO, we are looking at some Favors for Weddings, Graduations, Showers, Birthdays - just about any kind of a Spring/Summer treat.  And this beautiful new Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack totally nails the genre of treats, and spring or summer!!

I've used my Envelope Punch Board and some great scoring to convert my 6" x 6" paper into a
bonbon treat box.  A little twist of the glorious Cucumber Crush dotted lace trim ribbon, and then a label from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set and voila!  my sweet treat is complete!!

And doesn't it look gorgeous with the Watermelon Wonder word in the middle!!
Be sure to go to SUO challenges and look at all the wonderful and fun creations from the design team for some inspiration, and then share your awesomeness with us too!!

God Bless You

Last weekend, we knew some young people who have been welcomed into our church through their sacraments.   So I made a couple of simple cards to gives these wonderful teenagers - and I hope they really felt all the blessings and joy we feel for their wonderful new journey.

Happy Birthday Veronica

Today is my daughter's 21st birthday!!  What a milestone for all of our family!  She is our oldest child, so this is new territory for us!!
This is a copy of the card we sent to her in the mail so she receives it actually on her birthday - her card has the numbers 21 on it, so I've added the butterfly and flower in its place on my card.

We get to share her celebrations this weekend, and I might make another card for that event too!!

Masculine Congratulations

Over on TGIF challenges, there is a congratulations challenge, which is just timely at this time of year.

While we in Australia are not doing graduation, there are ALWAYS lots of times we need some sort of congratulations card for those wonderful achievements we need to celebrate at Uni and school.  This one is in the box ready for my son at the end of this semester - his first at Uni, and away from home.

which are Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow and Lost Lagoon.

Gorgeous Dragonflies

Look at the beautiful card I received in the mail!! Isn't it just so delicious to receive lovely cards in the mail - and not those pesky window envelopes!!

This card was made by my lovely friend Janine who I shared accommodation with when we went to the Gold Coast for convention!  She has used a new stamp Awesomely Artistic - and I'm really liking this stamp!!  Here's another card made with it that I sent to Janine!!

Clean and Simple thanks

I've used the Sprinkle of Life stamp set with one of the tiniest stamps in the set!!  This was a very quick and easy card!!

JAI #262

Floral Thankyou

JAI #262

I've used a new stamp set from our 2016 Catalogue - Best Thoughts, and markered the rubber before stamping and using an aqua painter to blend the colours a little.

Sketch 186 - from Freshly Made Sketches

I've used some of the new cotton paper - I've tried embossing it, using framelits with it, and scrunching and tearing it - just to see what it does and how it goes!!  So I had a lot of tactile fun making this card!!!  Totally love the colours too!!!

Twinchie Swap 2015

Until our group decided to do a "Twinchie" swap for convention, I had never heard of twinchies!!
Basically they are a 2" square decorated as you like.

Our group had the challenge of using brights colours only and having a party theme.

These are all of our twinchies mounted onto 2 sheets of 12" x 12" -
and don't they look amazing!!

Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding and Lost Lagoon.

Paper Players have a beautiful colour challenge this week and I've used them as my basis for our Scrapping Page at our next class.  These are the colours:
and I think they are so lovely!!  These colours are so TOTALLY in my comfort zone! They are quiet peaceful colours and I use neutrals, blues and greens A LOT - especially in scrapbooking!!
(The lovely ladies from my classes would attest to this!!)

I've used lots of retired goodies on this page too - as a last hurrah!  There is the Dictionary stamp set (in the background, very hard to see!), Daydream Medallions, and the Something Borrowed DSP from the Occasions catalogue.  Pistachio Pudding is retiring too!!

There's a lot of sponging on this page to make it look softer too!!

I'm amazingly lucky that my photo has a Lost Lagoon background too!!  How cool is that!!

I love how this page has turned out!!

And because I loved this colour combination so much, I made a quick sympathy card too  for some dear friends of ours.  Just love the calm softness of this colour combo!  Thank you Paper Players!!!

Inspiration everywhere

I've used that lovely vase as my focal point, and coloured in one of the Vivid
Vases Stamp Set with markers to stand out more than the rest, and then used crystal effects to give the vase some extra dimension so that it looks real!

My colours are Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand, and my background piece of Soft Sky is stamped with the image from Thoughts and Prayers - inspired by the beautiful branch on the right of the inspiration photo.
