SUO - My Hero in Primary Colours

Hello and welcome to another Challenge for SUO - Stampin' Up! Only.  This time we are focusing on Primary Colours - Red, Yellow and Blue - my choices were Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Dapper Denim.  And I've made my husband a 'hero' card for Fathers Day which is coming up this Sunday here in Australia.  I've used the great Ronald Macdonald House Charities stamp set My Hero and the coordinating Badge punch.

I'm on the team at SUO!

The starburst comes from Kinda Eclectic - I've used this starburst for so many cards in so many ways!!!  I've also highlighted the badge with the yummy gold Wink of Stella pen and added a couple of gorgeous brights sequins!!  I also stamped the badge again on some Daffodil Delight card, and then punched the #1 with the 1/2" circle punch just to make that piece the star of the show!

Now, I hope you've been inspired!!  Grab your primary colours and start creating and join in the fun with us over at SUO - if you click on the graphic you'll see the rest of the awesome projects from the whole design team - and you'll be inspired I'm sure!!

A Warm Christmas with Christmas Pines

We are almost at the end of winter here - Spring begins on the 1st of September and already the weather is warmer (not that it really gets cold where I live!!  We rarely get below 8 degrees celsius on the Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia!!)

With the warmer weather comes thoughts of balmy summer nights and days sitting at the beach enjoying the breeze - and we have Christmas in summer too!!

So the lovely Christmas Pines set in our new catalogue spoke to me of rattling palm trees and ferns - so tropical and warm.  And Paperless Post have set a challenge to create a Christmas Card with a summer twist!!   You can see their Christmas Card page HERE.

About the only thing I DON'T do for Christmas Cards is snowman - purely because I've ONLY ever seen snow twice in my life!!!  However, these lovely days are getting longer, so we are heading down to the beach for our afternoon walk more often and looking at the sunset and stars - and that's the look I've gone for with my Summery Christmas Card........
so what do you think?

I've used our new bundle of Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines thinlits - I have wonderful memories of creating pinecone centrepieces for Christmas as a child!!  I love this stamp set, and the greetings in it are totally wonderful too.  I've heat embossing some leaves with Old Olive, and cut our some more from cardstock to sit over the top.  I've added some sequin baubles to hang from the fronds too. The stars are heat embossed with clear and I've given a lovely Dapper Denim wash for the background.  This card could be an image of the sun sparkling on the water OR an evening sky under the palms.  Did you see that too?

Stampin' Up! Banners for You

We made a whole heap of these cards last week at the Nursing Home class - teaching watercolouring, and creating welcome cards for new residents all at once.
I've used the lovely flower from You've Got This; the lovely corner images from Helping Me Grow; and the banner and that lovely image at the top and bottom of the card from Banners For You.

I've used Kraft cardstock, Shimmery White (fantastic to do watercolouring on), Soft Suede for the image mat, and then coloured with Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry and Rose Red.

Stampin' Up! Artistic Expressions this week on CTC#93

Hello again for Sunday Night hopping!!  Blog Hopping that is -  with our awesome CASEing the CATTY team where we inspire you with our interpretations of projects in our Catalogue through Copying and Selectively Editing.
This week we are looking at the HUGE Artistic Expressions Chapter  which has a totally amazing array of choices!!

And, as I was SO overwhelmed with choices AND I ran out of time, I've totally CASED this lovely little card featuring Tuscan Vineyard.  I absolutely adore this bunch of grapes and I'm sure this card in the catalogue really encouraged me to purchase this stamp set!!

So here's my little version.  The only difference is the black bakers twine rather than the Elegant Eggplant.  I love the idea of leaving white space when painting, but I think I might have to practice a little!!  My card is not as beautifully painted as the one in the catalogue BUT, I still love it and I think it looks totally gorgeous!!  I'm glad I had a go at CASEing this card.... and I think I might try again soon!!

Now it's time for you to continue your Sunday hopping fun!!  You can go in reverse to see Joyful Judy, or forwards to see Stunning Simone.  Enjoy!!

And if you've been inspired, have a go at our monthly challenge and join in the fun.  We love to see your creations too!!

See you next week!!

Thoughtful Branches Scrapbooking

You would know by now that I've been having a great time playing with this Thoughtful Banners Bundle - well, here's another project using it - and I've coloured the title with my markers and left out one of the words of the greeting to make it more suitable for my page.

I've used lots of banners of Pop of Pink DSP here on my page - but there's no pink to be seen - the reverse side of all the papers is black and white only - awesome!!

Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Branches in CTC#91 Birthday Chapter

Hello again for our Sunday Night Blog Hop!  What a fabulous way to enjoy the end of a marvellous weekend, and we hope you are enjoying the hop - keep going all around the team and you'll be inspired over and over again!!

This week, we are sharing some more inspiration and CASEing (Copy and Selectively Edit) from the Birthdays chapter of our Annual Catalogue - pages 10 - 25.

I've been inspired this week by this card to the left of the Festive Birthday Suite on page 10.  I've kept the layout the same, and the colours a bit similar, but I've used my favourite bundle of the moment - Thoughtful Branches.  I've used the lovely craft white ink for the background stamping - just the same as the card I've used for inspiration.  I love the trees stamped on the banner and the card with first and second generation stamping - I think it looks really atmospheric!!

This second card is far more graphic - using the white craft ink again in the background, and some of the Pop of Pink DSP to mat the greeting.  This is not my usual style, and I do like the trees card better!!!

And you know what?  This card fits perfectly into the challenge at TGIF this week!!

Now it's time for you to continue hopping around the team, and then to create your project and share it in our monthly challenge!!  We love to see your creations!!

For the complete list of the design team, you can use this link.

And we will see you again next week as we hop around the catalogue!!
