You'll love these colours!!! Colour INKspiration #18

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous challenge for Colour INKspiration!!
We are a design team who love to challenge you to create using a colour palette inspired by some glorious images features on Pinterest.  Challenge #18 uses these awesome colours - Powder Pink, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum

Image may contain: people sitting, plant, motorcycle, flower and outdoor

And isn't this lovely picture gorgeous!! The inspiration for my card comes from the brick wall and all those gorgeous climbing roses!!
I've used the wonderful Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the coordinating Happy Birthday thinlit.  The vine and all the roses were created using some of the great stamps in this set - there are 32 photopolymer stamps in this set!!  All of the roses were stamped in Powder Pink for the base layer, and then Sweet Sugarplum for the line image over the top.  They have been punched with 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches (as I was too lazy to fussy cut the flowers!!)
To create the rustic wall, I rubbed my Basic Grey ink over my Brickwall embossing folder before adding the Sahara Sand cardstock into the folder and embossing with the Big Shot.  That gave me the grout lines and a few smears of rustic colour over the bricks.
And lastly, I die cut the Happy Birthday in both Sweet Sugar Plum and Basic Gray to give the lovely shadow effect.

I think the card is very pretty!!  It is 6" square which makes it rather large, but it is a very special card, and the colours are divine!!
Originally I wanted to add a little green (because we can add a green of choice if we wish, and I do love green a lot!!), but in the end, these colours worked just fine!!

Now it's time for you to keep hopping along and see all the AMAZING work of the design team - EVERY time we share our ideas as a team, I am blown away by the awesomeness of these amazing artists on our team.  It is such a privilege to be part of the Colour INKspiration crew!!

And we really love to see your creations, so please, join in the fun and post your photo on our facebook challenge page!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

SUO - Shape Up! using the Pocket framelits and Daisy punch

Hello and Welcome to our SUO Challenges!!  We are a group who love to present challenges for you using Stampin' Up! Only products!!  And this time, the challenge is to use your favourite punch or dies!!  Make sure you head to our blog to see the fantastic projects from all of the design team!!

I'm on the team at SUO!

My project features the super cute pocket card!!  It's created using the Pocket framelits and was really fun to create!!

I used a wonderful tutorial prepared by Bronwyn Eastley to create this little cutie!!
If you're keen to have a go yourself, head to Bronwyn's blog and she has the tutorial for you!  I found it really easy to follow with great step by step instructions and photos.
This is her FABULOUS project!!  Click on the image and you will be taken to her blog.  All credit for my project goes to her.

And the fantastic thing about this super cute project is that it folds flat for postage!!  How awesome is that????

I've changed my project a little and used the Daisy punch (because it's quicker for me!!)  I've paired the fantastic NEW leaf punch too - what a wonderful tool this is in my go-to products!!

The sunnies are cut using another of the super cute framelits in the Pocket framelits collection.

The centre of the daisies are punched using the 1/2 " circle punch and some super delicious Champagne Foil.

Here's my first attempt - I used some of the Swirly Bird stamped images and a circle punch for my mixed bunch of flowers.

I hope you've been inspired!!  Now grab out your favourite framelits and punches and get creating and add your project in our challenge!!  You can add your projects to our gallery here.

Quilted Christmas around the World CTC#147

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop!  We love the share with you our CASEing of our awesome Stampin' Up! catalogues.  We Copy And Share Everything as we are inspired by the awesome projects illustrated on very page!!

Image may contain: indoor

This week, we are being inspired by the Christmas around the World Chapter in the fabulous Holiday Catalogue.

My card features lots of elements from the Quilted Christmas Suite, but is actually inspired by this card below which I found on page 35 - right at the end of this chapter.

My inspiration comes from the layout.

And my colours are inspired by the Quilted Christmas DSP I have chosen - Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and Garden Green.

I actually made 2 cards with a slight variation on the greeting element to try and CASE the layout of the catalogue card more closely......

For me, these cards were actually all about the DSP, AND, I was trying to create a Non-Christmas card using Christmas products...... not sure if I'm totally thrilled with the result BUT, maybe, you could be inspired!!

I hope you share your awesome creations with us on our facebook challenge page.

And make sure you keep on hopping to see all the other fantastic creations from the whole design team!!  You'll love it!!

Until next time,
Happy stamping,
Love Julia.  x

Add a Little Glitz CTC#146

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night blog hop showing off the amazing inspiration of our Catalogues, and challenging you to join the fun too.

No automatic alt text available.

This week we are CASEing from the Season of Glitz chapter in the Holiday catalogue.

I have been inspired by the little tree box on the top left, and added some other new goodies from the Holiday Catalogue.

My colours are Soft Sky, Dapper Denim and Smokey Slate with a dash of silver from the beautiful foil snowflake.  I've also added some vellum as another softening layer of colour.

The vellum has been embossed with the Winter Wonder embossing folder (snowflake) and the Quilt Top embossing folder - which is your favourite?

I've added a metal rimmed pearl to finish off the sweet gift on the front of the card.

I really hope you have a go at CASEing the CAtty too - you can add your projects inspired by the Season of Glitz chapter to our facebook challenge page here.

Now it's time for you to hop along to see some more amazing inspiration from the design team inspired by the Season of Glitz chapter.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping.

Lovely Friends Scrapping for Colour INKspiration #17

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge #17.  We love to inspired your creative genius with some awesome colours inspired by Pinterest!!

Image may contain: indoor

This week the colours are:  Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Flirty Flamingo - and aren't they gorgeous!!  To me the say Spring!!

I've decided to add to my 'finished pages' pile for my scrapbooking stash!!  Lovely Friends has these wonderful words that are just perfect for scrapping - especially with these adorable photos of my children from 8 years ago!! They grow up sooooo fast (sigh).
We only have 2 teenagers at home now as the others are in the big city working and studying at University.

The predominant colours in my page are the Tempting Turquoise and Lemon Lime Twist with the Flirty Flamingo flowers from the Lovely Friends, and a few very subtle touches of Pool Party.

Every day I am so grateful for the beautiful family we have together, and yes, we are very blessed.

Isn't that font just delicious?  I've made the the front and centre of my page because that's everything I wish to say!!  The kids thought the page was lovely - but they were really taken with the photos of themselves when they were so little and cute!!  teehee

My second project (because these colours are just so so so sweet) is a copy of a project I did this week with my Nursing Home ladies.  I volunteer monthly with the craft group.

The brief this month was to create some wall decorations for Spring!!  So we created strings of flowers and butterflies and dragonflies to hang around the common room.

These look gorgeous strung around the walls!!  I forgot to take a photo of them at the Home, so this is the one I have for myself to show you.  The flowers were punched with the daisy punch in Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party.  They have centres punched from the Champagne Foil (totally divine colour!!) and leaves punched with the Lemon Lime Twist.

Tempting Turquoise has been used for the butterflies and dragonfly at the top.  All the flowers were mounted onto the ombre Lemon Lime Twist ribbon - so so pretty!!

These colours are so wonderful and bright and fun and lovely - I hope you'll join in the fun too and add your project to our facebook challenge page!!

Now it's time for you to hop along to see the glorious project by Kim with the hidden greeting!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia x
