Now for some Artistic Expression Inspiration CTC383

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING from the Artistic Expression chapter of our Annual Catalogue - pages 90 to 119.

My project was inspired by this card on page 118 featuring a fun background technique.  I think the catalogue uses one colour for the watercolour wash, but I've added a few!!  I've also used a very similar layout to the catalogue inspiration.

My card features the gorgeous Apple Harvest AND a lovely sneak peek at the NEW coordinating Apple Blossoms dies which are coming next month.  Most of this card features these new dies.

The background was created by colouring onto a large stamping block with Stampin' Write Markers - Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party.  I then used a spritzer and water, misted the inked block and stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock.  Doesn't it look pretty!!

I used the left over ink for the edges of the inside of my card too.  Along with some stamping using the Apple Harvest stamp set and Tahitian Tide ink

To create the gorgeous blossoms, I've used the fabulous In Colour Glimmer paper with the dies.  The flowers were die cut from shimmery white cardstock and then painted using a water painter and some Starry Sky colour from the stampin block I used to create the background.  My greeting was created using the Double Oval punch and then I added some gorgeous Tahitian Tide ribbon in a bow - like the catalogue sample!!

Please keep hopping around everyone to see all the great projects!! Up next is the amazing Michelle and her sweet puppy card.

A sketch challenge for CTC#279

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full of inspiration.

Our challenge this week is to CASE a sketch of the card on page 72.  Welcome if you have just arrived from the lovely Monique.  Make sure you keep hopping around the whole team to see lots of amazing projects inspired by this sketch!!

I have used this sketch as my starting point to make a heap of thankyou cards for my customers!!  And this card is the first play that I have had with some of the new goodies from the NEW MINI catalogue that goes live from the 4th August!!  Woohoo!!

This stamp set called Life is Beautiful is so pretty.  It has a lovely tree and then a choice of leaves/foliage so suit many seasons!!  I've used the super cute layered dots in Seaside Spray combined with Night of Navy.

The card front has been embossed with one of the lovely Greenery embossing folders, and the thankyou greeting comes from Many Mates - this is a really super useful greeting stamp set!!

Inside the card features some more of the lovely spots.

The final lovely addition is the gorgeous Blue Adhesive-Baked Gems!  They are soooo pretty!!  Make sure you check them out in the new Mini catalogue!!

Up next on our hop this week is the wonderful Peta!

We love it when you join in the fun with us!!  Add your project to the lineup on our Facebook Challenge page before next week and share your project inspired by this great sketch!!

Hearts for Social Stamping

Hello and Welcome to another amazing blog hop with Kelly and her friends as we keep Social Stamping.  If you've come from the amazing Vicki, you are very welcome as you hop around!!

To see the whole list of participants and the Blog Host Kelly, click on the above image!
The theme this week is Hearts!!

I've been making a bunch of cards using the Stampin' Up! Covid fundraiser and these cards are paired with the gorgeous From My Heart paper which features lovely foil and gloss accents!!

These are very simple cards using Flirty Flamingo, Real Red and Whisper White - inspired by the colours of the papers.

There are not many other embellishments - I've let the paper do all the work!  The heart punch duo have also been awesome for all these cards!!

Make sure you keep hopping all the way around our hearty hop!!

Up next on our fun hop is the amazing  Lisa and her stamping hearts!!

and Vintage again!

This is my smaller version of the vintage thank you card I made recently - so it share many of the same features, but on a smaller scale.

Vintage Thank You

I was asked to create a large Thank You that was "delicate and beautiful", and I hope this is achieved with this lovely card.

This stamp set - Million and One is absolutely beautiful and one of my favourites- so it was perfect for my card!  I framed the greeting with a labels framelit, and then an oval framelit out of the Raspberry Ripple.  This was then mounted onto a panel embossed with the Pretty Print embossing folder.

The other stamp set used on the card front, the inside, and also on the envelope is Everything Eleanor - and I find myself reaching regularly for this stamp set when I want an elegant look.   The swirl and the floral motifs are really lovely.  After I stamped the flowers in the Raspberry Ripple, I then used an aqua painter to gently bleed the ink to 'colour in' the flowers - this gives them a lovely look of depth and is really quick and simple.

My other embellishments include using a paper doily, some silver ribbon, a vintage faceted button, and some striped smoky slate ribbon.

All of the supplies for this card are able to be purchased easily online if you click the shop now button on the sidebar.

This time I have tried for a Clean and Simple look with my Feeling Sentimental stamps - and I have used my new ovals framelits for the first time - so easy to use and it looks just great!!!!  The greeting comes from Itty Bitty Banners.
