Let's emboss!! CTC#388

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING an embossing project from any catalogue.  Embossing covers 3 different techniques - there's heat embossing shown above, dry embossing using a Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine or embossing with Embossing Paste.

My project features embossing using the Leaf Fall embossing folder featured in the June to Dec Mini Catalogue.  I've also CASED the layout of the card using this glorious folder.

I embossed our vellum cardstock and then added a little colour using Soft Suede and a blending brush.

The Leaf Labels and Amber Gems worked perfectly with this gorgeous Leaf Fall embossing folder.  The stamping comes from the super useful Sending Smiles stamp set and coordinating Sending Dies - these are a fabulous bundle!!  I've also die cut the leaves from the Sending Dies and our gorgeous gold glimmer paper.

I've also added some lovely wooden Textural Elements embellishments which I've left raw - the colour worked well with the lovely leaves. Under my Sending die cut is a little piece of Texture Chic paper.

Inside I've added a couple more leaves using the Leaf Fall embossing folder sponged with a little Soft Suede.  I hope you like this project featuring embossing.  Make sure you keep hopping around everyone for some fabulous inspiration.

UP next is the amazing Rebecca and her festive card!!

You are welcome to join our challenge too!  Add your project here to our Facebook page.

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - Apple Harvest Autumn Inspiration

Hello and Welcome to our Monthly Blog Hop with these amazing crafters from all over the world!!

This month we are featuring some Autumn inspiration - and there is some great inspiration in our Stampin' Up! catalogues, especially in our June to Dec Mini Catalogue.  These great Leaf Labels are one of the great products featured in that catalogue.  I've embossed them with the painted texture folder and then added colour using Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie with a blending brush.

I've stamped in the background using Crumb Cake and Forever Fern stamp set.  The greeting comes from the Charming Sentiments and the Sentiment Silhouettes bundle.

You may be wondering where the Apple Harvest comes in?  These gorgeous gold glimmer leaves come from the Apple Blossom dies which are available THIS MONTH ONLY and coordinate with the gorgeous Apple Harvest stamp set in a fabulous bundle.

And isn't that gorgeous frayed natural ribbon fabulous?  I also love the extra texture combined with the lovely Amber gems.

Make sure you keep hopping all the way around everyone.  Up next is the amazing Annette.

Here's the list of everybody in the hop in case you get lost along the way.

Bron's 60th birthday hop - Tropical Holiday!!

Hello and Welcome to Bron's Birthday Hop - this is the one to celebrate her birthday!!
 Woohooo.  Happy Happy Birthday Bron!!

The theme this month is her holiday destination - Tropical Holiday!!  She's been to Port Douglas, the Daintree, Cooktown and the stunning north Queensland paradise beaches.  What a brilliant holiday!

So, OF COURSE, I pulled out my gorgeous (new to me) stamp set Sunkissed - perfectly made for tropical Queensland destinations!!  I was inspired by the amazingly incredible Vicki Boucher to try this fold and you can see her gorgeous project here.

My card is quite simple really - I stamped all the images from Sunkissed with Gray Granite and then sponged all the panels using Tahitian Tide and So Saffron with blending brushes.  I then coloured all the images using Stampin' Blends - with Old Olive, Soft Suede and Tahitian Tide for the water.  I used masking paper and one of the Palms dies to create the sun in the sky.

The back of my card features the same treatment and also leaves a place to write my greeting to Bron.  This is going into the post, but I know it won't arrive to her before her birthday ...... so SURPRISE!!

I have also added some Wink of Stella to the ocean to show the way the sun shines on the water - I hope you can see it in the photo?

Up next on the hop is the amazing Tina - make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see everyone's awesomeness!!

A sunkissed nose and sandy toes Colour INKspiration #128

Hello and Welcome to our Colour INKspiration challenge!!

This is a group of amazing creative souls using inspiration images to drive the colour choices.

I really love these colours!!  And the pop of blue is gorgeous!!

I decided to use a new stamp for this challenge!!  This is a perfect Queensland stamp set - Sunkissed.
The background of the image was coloured using Blending Brushes and Tahitian Tide and So Saffron, and then a Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blend for the ocean.  I then added some Wink of Stella for the sheen of the ocean when it's sunny.

My card is quite simple really.  I've stamped the image using Memento Black onto So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink cardstock and then fussy cut the images using a paper piecing technique.

The inside of the card was also coloured using some blended Tahitian Tide and So Saffron on the edges, along with the stamped and pieced pelican and shells -just like the front.
