Christmas in July

Well, this is a new style of Christmas Card for me!! I usually go for all the traditional elements, but I thought I'd have a go at a natural type of Christmas Card - although I just could NOT resist some bling!!  So what do you think?  Did I nail it?  I'm thinking I'm still a bit on the shelf about weather it's working or not!!

Crafty Boots Challenges

Crafty Boots are having a Christmas in July challenge - so go over to their blog and check out the awesome projects!!  This card is my little contribution to the huge pile of entries!! So if you want some inspiration - you need to hop around all the amazing projects in this challenge!!

The background stamping comes from Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, and the greeting comes from Petite Pairs.  Lots of punching on this card - the tree, the little birdies from the Builder Tree Punch, Itty Bitty Star Punch, and the cute little golden wreath comes from the 1/2" circle cut out from the 7/8" scallop punch!!  All of the scattered stars comes from the stars border punch!!

The background Crumb Cake piece has been embossed with the stars folder, and actually I've embossed it the opposite way to what I'd intended BUT, I think it actually works better!!  Love it when a plan comes together like that!! teeheee

  1. Fab Christmas card, I love how you have made it look as if the embellishments are hanging from a washing line. Thank you for sharing your work with all of us at Crafty Boots Challenges.
