Stampin' Up! New Catalogue - welcome to the first chapter for CTC#81 birthdays

Welcome to the brand new catalogue year for Stampin' Up!  We are all very excited looking at all the wonderful new products and especially all the fantastic new ideas and inspiration as we flip through this new catalogue!!

This week, we will begin at the very beginning with the chapter about Birthdays!!  Our CASEING the CATTY Sunday Blog hop this week will be Caseing projects from pages 10 through to 25.

And my card this week has been inspired by this very simple stamping project on page 25 - it's pictured as gift wrapping in the catalogue, but I've changed mine to be another birthday card - you can never really have enough birthday cards, and I'm trying to send LOTS this year, in the spirit of the #imbringingbackbirthdays movement!!

I've changed the colours a bit - using cool colours of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party Mint Macaron and a little So Saffron with a couple of Soft Sky clouds in the background.  I used the wonderful Clear Wink of Stella pen on all the balloons so the card looks wonderfully sparkly!! (But you can't really tell in the photos. sigh)  I've mounted the panel onto Bermuda Bay cardstock and wrapped the card with white and Bermuda Bay thick bakers twine.  The greeting and the balloon strings I've stamped with Tip Top Taupe - what a great neutral colours this is!

I hope you've been inspired!!  So inspired in fact that we hope you'll join in the monthly challenge too!!  And we are also looking for some new Design Team members - so if you're keen, join in with the challenge this month and register your interest to be a part of this awesome CASEing the Catty blog team where we showcase all the amazing projects and ideas presented to us in the Stampin' Up! catalogue.  You can use the link below.

And now it's time for you to continue hopping around the team and be totally inspired again by the fantastic projects we've created for you!!

If you've lost your way, or you want to see the Blog Hop post, the link below will give you a complete list of all the design team members!

And we'll see you next week!!

  1. Nice and simple stamping Julia, love the colours and the twine. I need more cards like this in my repertoire for workshops and card buffets. I think this one will be good for that.

  2. This is a great CASE Julia! This card looks deceptively easy because it's a one layer card, but I can see it has quite a few elements. The addition of the twine & Wink of Stella give it a great finish, just lovely Julia.
