Look again at those hostess sets with CTC#106

Have you looked at our Hostess Sets lately?  Sometime we get so caught up on all the fabulous NEW things, we forget to look as those little treasures hidden in the hostess pages - and they really are very special!  This week we are using these little wonders to inspire our creative challenge to CASE the Catty (Copy and Share Everything).

And, as I'm totally looking at Christmas at the moment, I chose this great little card as my springboard.  This set on page 201 of our Annual Catalogue has some gorgeous greetings for Birthday, Christmas, and any time really!  It's called appropriately Time of Year.

I've cased the card layout very closely, but changed to my (current) favourite colours of Bermuda Bay, with a touch of Island Indigo and white/silver highlights.

See that lovely spotty background there?  Did you wonder where I found this paper?  It's the 'oh so versatile' Irresistibly Floral Specialty DSP in the dotty design and sponged with Bermuda Bay to the intensity of colour that I was looking for.

And isn't that gorgeous big greeting and font so lovely!  It  really does make this card SAY SOMETHING!!  And what else do I love about my card?  I really love the extra bling of the silver sequin trim, the little bermuda sequins shining on the holly berries, and that little corner detail on the central panel - such a simple idea, yet it looks so cool!! (and easy peasy to do with the little 1/2" circle punch on each corner)  Thank you Stampin' Up! again for your awesome inspiration in our Catalogue!!!

Now it's time for you to continue your fun Sunday night blog hop and see the fantabulous and amazing creations brought to YOU from the rest of the design team.  Make sure you hop all the way around and totally feel free to comment and join in the fun too!!  We love the conversations we have with you AND we love seeing all your creative projects too.  We are thrilled to inspire you and share with you our love of Stamping AND our great Stampin' Up! catalogues!

    1. Thank you Kelly. I tend to stick to traditional colours because it's easy, but I do love the results when I try something new!
