Of Course it would be GREEN CI#200

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Welcome to a very special challenge We are celebrating our 200th challenge at Colour INKspiration! I told you it was special. We still have many original Crew who started with our first challenge on January 11th, 2017. This amazing group was organised by the super creative Bronwyn Eastley. Past and present Crew members are amongst some of the nicest and most talented people I have ever met. And we even have some of our past Crew joining in with us to celebrate so watch out for their projects in the Album and in posts. We hope that you enjoy following and joining in with us as much as we love designing for you. Here's to another 200 challenges!

We welcome Catherine Proctor as our Guest Designer.

This challenge is a little different. We are asking you to showcase your favourite Stampin' Up! colour. It can be current or retired. It will be tricky to choose just one but we know you can do it!

As well your chosen colour for #CI200, you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, ‘Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends.

To get your creative ideas flowing, make sure you check out the Crew’s Project in the CI#200 Album in our Facebook group

Challenge guidelines:

· Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge.

· Use only your 1 favourite Stampin' Up! colour along with allowable neutrals.

· Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album.

CI#200 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7 pm (AEDT) on Monday December 8th.

We hope you can participate this round and look forward to seeing a variety of projects showcasing your favourite colours. Happy stamping!

Soooo, my one colour HAD to be a green, but that turned out to be REALLY difficult because I love using all the greens.  I also love a lot of white space.  Eventually I chose to use Shaded Spruce because it's on high rotation on my craft table at the moment because it's a fabulous Christmas green.

I've used Ornamental Christmas stamp set, and just the star from the coordinating bundle.  This is my FIRST Christmas TREE card this year!

My feature tree was stamped onto White Velvet, fussy cut and then coloured using Shimmery White embossing paste to give it sparkle!!  I embellished the tree with the silver foil star and some of the stunning Faceted Snowflakes.

My card base is one of the lovely Embossed Textures Mix & Match crds and envelopes folded into a fun z fold because this is quite a simple card of repeat stamping to create the foresty feel!

INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations of the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. Then you have 12 days from today to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don't have to have a blog to participate but if you do you can link back to your post. Make sure you use all of the challenge colours. You can also use neutrals such as Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige and Basic Black as well as Metallics.

Danielle's Chain Swap E

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn

Today I'm joining the amazing Card Swap Chain Blog Hop with 10 amazing Australian cardmakers.  Our blog hop today is a celebration of the amazing cards we sent and received when we embarked on a fun journey sending cards to each other over a period of months.  It's a card version of "Chinese Whispers".  Each of us designed a card and sent if off to one of the other participants. That person then CASED the card and sent their own version to the next person.  To CASE is to Copy and Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit.  Each person's card made it's way around all 10 of us until finally a verson came home to the designer.  And Now, we are sharing these gorgeous card designs with YOU.  Enjoy the amazingness of everyone's cards and designs.

Today we are sharing a wonderful card designed by Danielle in Chain Swap E.  Follow the blog hop ALL the way around to see the evolution of her gorgeous card.

It's amazing the way a card can evolve - here's Danielle's card and when you hop around everyone you'll see amazing changes along the way.

I've used the super cute Jar of Joy stamp set which coordinates with the fabulous Sweet Jar stamp set.

I love the way the stamp set and punch coordinate perfectly together!!

This card would work perfectly with a gift of some home baking!!

Make sure you keep hopping to see this amazing evolution!!

Inspiration is everywhere CTC#547

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING the Annual Catalogue - and that is a HUGE amount of inspiration!

I'm planning some easy card projects for new stampers, and so this great layout on page 34  showing some of the great Mix and Match stamps and images worked really well to get me started on a brilliant works-for-every-occasion layout with the greeting in the middle and elements above and below!

The stars of the show on this card is the totally gorgeous Traditions of Christmas designer paper with it's glorious bright and festive colours.

I've used the coordinating Traditional Labels bundle of great stamp set and coordinating dies for the greeting and the label.

I've also used some more of the gorgeous paper in the background with the To the Point punch for the green paper, and some stunning red behind the label to showcase the gorgeous designs.

Inside is some fun stamping to continue the theme!!

Up next is the extraordinary Peta and her gorgeous wreath

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great ideas!

Check out our Facebook group for lots more inspiration!

Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - Giving Thanks,

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm joining the fabulous paper crafting monthly blog hop of fabulous international crafters.  Join us for a world tour of inspiration!

This month we are inspiring you to give thanks!!  I'm giving thanks for this absolutely gorgeous Everyday Beauty cardmaking kit that I received in the mail this week!!  I LOVE IT so much!!  And the stamps work perfectly with our theme this month!

I've stepped up the 'thankyou' card from the kit to create a sweet Z fold card.  These cards are all beautifully printed on both the front and the back, so I've folded the card inside out to make these gorgeous printed panels the hero of the card!

The gorgeous arched die cut also has and EXTRA piece that I've used for the inside of my card!!  No waste with this card!

I've used Lost Lagoon ink to carry through the gorgeous colours of the die cuts in this card, and to highlight the stunning colours and prints of the envelope too.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of AWESOME inspiration!!
