Mood board inspiration Scrapbooking Global

Hello and Welcome to the March Scrapbooking blog hop!!

Scrapbooking Global is an amazing group of creative artists who use exclusively Stampin' Up! products for scrapbooking.

This month, the theme for the hop is this glorious mood board based on the Hydrangea Haven Suite in our Mini Catalogue,

and designed by the supremely talented Sharon Dalton.

My page took on an interesting journey!!  The picture in the mood board of the gorgeous sky was my first inspiration and it helped me choose my photos...... and then I couldn't work out how to incorporate more of the colour inspiration.... until I decided to add strips of papers and embossed cardstock down my page - and I loved the look of this!!  I've used some of the Hydrangea Hill papers, Sand and Sea paper and some Rococo Rose and Misty Moonlight cardstock embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder.

I was then inspired by the little white spiky flower at the bottom of the mood board - so went looking to see how I could incorporate this element.  I eventually decided on the Potted Succulents dies to create the look.  What do you think?

The gorgeous greeting comes from the coordinating Simply Succulents stamp set and was stamped onto one of the great dies from the Simply Succulents coordinating dies.  There is also a little background stamping with the Simply Succulents stamp and Seaside Spray ink.

My final touch was a heap of the gorgeous Pastel Pearls from the Hydrangea Suite.  I've also added a little Seaside Spray ribbon behind the bottom photo and tied a Misty Moonlight ribbon bow around the other photo.

Up next on this wonderful hop is the talented Marga.

Here's the list of everyone, just in case you get lost along the way!

CASEIng the Bundles CTC#309

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full of inspiration.

This week the challenge is to CASE one of the projects in the Bundles chapter of the Mini Catalogue - pages 75 to 82.

January - June 2021 Mini Catalogue pg81.  Images copyright Stampin' Up! ©

I've been inspired by the gorgeous card featuring the Ride the Range Suite on page 81.  The picture above is a bit small, but it's the card on the third from the right.

This card features the Hey Birthday Chick bundle and is a fun peek a boo fold.  The front of the card has a sheet of the new Natural Touch wood grain paper on some Cinnamon Cider card stock with a Stitched Circle cut out for the peek a boo element - similar to the central feature of the stimulus card.

My layout reflects the original card too with the Tailored Tag punched greeting, and a fence in the background, a little background stamping and the main feature image.  The colours are also very similar.

I've CASED this fun fold from the amazing Michelle on our team!!

UP next is the clever Michelle and her super super cute baby shark cards!!  You'll love them!!  Make sure you keep hopping around everyone to see so much awesomeness!!!

We love you joining in the challenge with us too!!  Just add your photo to the lineup on our Facebook challenge page.

Alcohol Marker background on Acetate CI#95

Hello and Welcome to our Amazing Colour INKspiration challenges.

Our challenges are inspired by some amazing Pinterest images converted into our amazing array of Stampin' Up! colours.

Our colours this time are:  Gold, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Blackberry Bliss.

I have to share a disclaimer that Purples are not in my comfort zone...... but I think these turned out to be very pretty.  I wanted to try a technique using our Alcohol Markers to create a background onto vellum and this is behind the piece of Golden Garden Specialty Acetate.  (Michele Jutrisa has a good video showing how to do this)

I've featured the Boho Indigo Product Medley for my vases and foliage along with the gorgeous Blackberry Bliss ribbon from the Ice Cream Corner Suite.  The final touch on the front is some of the super sweet Pastel Pearls to add extra interest to the foliage.

Inside the card has some more trimmed and coloured vellum and the Acetate layer.  I've used Blackberry Bliss and Balmy Blue reinkers along with alcohol for the background.

Colour Inspiration CTC#308 Sand & Sea

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from the amazing inspiration offered in our Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING the Colours from the gorgeous Sand and Sea paper - which are:  Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Sahara Sand and Seaside Spray.

I'm having a very uninspired week this week as my mojo went on holidays I think.  SOoooooo, this is why I just LOOOOVE caseing - I can be creative without the heavy thinking!  I've CASED the gorgeous Pearlescent card on the right of the image on page almost identically.

I cut the Sea and Sand image using the gorgeous Seaside Seashells dies from the Pearlescent Paper.  I then put the die cut image into the Seashells embossing folder to give the stunning texture.  And then, I've used the Blending Brushes with all the colours above to add extra interest to the card.  As with the original, I've wrapped linen thread around the card, but the greeting has been stamped onto Vellum using Melon Mambo and punched with the Timeless Label Punch.

Inside the card has some more of the Sand and Sea patterned paper (same as the front) along with a strip of the Pearlescent Paper and then some stamped and fussy cut images from the gorgeous Friends are like Seashells stamp set.  There are so many gorgeous coordinating elements from the Sand and Sea Suite.

I'm sure you're going to love every project in the hop this week!!  Make sure you keep going all the way around to see them all.  Up next is the amazing Michelle and her super sweet shells!
