Paper Crafting Blog Hop with Sale-a-bration Scrapbooking

Hello and Welcome to our Paper Crafting monthly blog hop with a bunch of amazing international Stampin' Up! demonstrators!!

This month we are inspiring you with our Sale-a-bration products AND sharing any project except a card - so you're in for some pretty awesome creativity.

My default for a non-card project is usually a scrapbook page - so here you are!!  I've created my page using the fabulous Friendly Hello bundle of a stamp set and coordinating papers.

Having coordinating papers helps direct the colour choices for stamping, so I've used the Granny Apple Green ink to highlight the lovely paper of the same colour.  I've also used Black Memento to stamp repeated flowers and coloured them using Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.

I've also using Petal Pink ink for some of the collage stamping, as well as Balmy Blue for the splodges.

The lovely bird from the stamp set was coloured using Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends and fussy cut for a fun final embellishment on my page.    And you know there should be ribbon and bling, sooooo I've used the fabulous essentials bakers twine black spool and some stunning blue gems to finish off.

Here's a video showing how I created this page.  Enjoy!

Make sure you keep hopping around everyone to see lots of fantastic Sale-a-bration inspiration!!

up next on our wonderful hop this month is the fabulous Maureen.

Colours of Heart & Home CTC#356

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY)

This week we are CASEING the colours of the Heart & Home paper which is just glorious!!

I have ALSO been inspired by a lovely project on the right of the landing page for the Heart & Home suite on page 58.  My card features the gorgeous Heart & Home doilies, the lovely Denim ribbon as well as the Blessings of Home bundle.  I've coloured the floral image using Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia Stampin Blends and a garden green watercolour pencil blended using a Wink of Stella brush.

My background panel is actually a stamped piece repeatedly stamping using Misty Moonlight on my Basic White cardstock.  My finishing touch is some linen thread and a couple of Classic Matte Dots.

This stamp set is so beautiful when it's stamped as a decorative element.

I'm pretty pleased with my card and I especially love the greeting down the side on the front, and you know, I don't think I'd thought of doing this without the inspiration from the catalogue - thank you Stampin' Up! (again) for the amazing creativity!! I just love CASEING the CATTY!!

Up next on our awesome hop is the fabulous Kathryn who is inspired by the same card but with a different twist - love it!!

Stampin' Up! Flowering Rainboots for Colour INKspiration #115

Hello and Welcome!!

Tonight I'm sharing a project inspired by the colours for our Colour INKspiration challenge!!

This is a marvellous group and a super fun challenge - sometimes I'm inspired by the colours alone, and sometimes it's the image that gets me started being creative.

I received a gorgeous card from my friend Janine which featured this fun fold - so I was super keen to give it a go for my project this week.  I've also used the lovely Flowering Rainboots bundle for the featured stamping.  The stamp set includes a pair of boots, a watering can and a plant pot which all can have some flowers in hem.  It's so cute!  AND there's coordinating dies to cut out all those great bits and pieces!! Click on these links to see the stamp set and dies in more detail.

I've also used a wink of stella brush to add shimmer and blend the ink a little.

The background paper you can see there comes from the sale-a-bration Sunshine & Rainbows paper.

Here's a video showing you the measurements and how I created this card.  Enjoy.

Sale-a-bration Inspiration for you CTC#355

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up Catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING from our Sale-a-bration Catalogue and I've chosen to CASE this lovely freesia card on the right with it's sweet open line stamped flowers.

My card evolved into an exploding box card as I made this one to give a bunch of flowers to gorgeous friends when we went to their place for a meal.

I've also been inspired by the background stamping on the card using the little floral image from the Friendly Hello stamp set all over the base of the card.  I love the little touch of daffodil delight in the centre of the flowers on the card, so I also replicated this with my project by using a watercolour pencil and blending with the Wink of Stella brush.

Finally I just had to add some lovely Granny Apple Green leaves using my new bough punch - a must have for anybody creating bunches of floral arrangements!!

This card is brilliant as it folds flat for postage and makes such a wow for your friends when they receive it!!

Here's a video showing you how I created this card.

I hope you'll be inspired to have a go creating this card for yourself too!!
