Treat Box meets Lights Aglow CT#131

Hello and Welcome to our Colour Challenge!

This is an amazing group of creative people who use Stampin' Up! supplies to create using colours inspired by Pinterest.

Check out these gorgeous colours this week!!

Although these colours would be brilliant for Christmas, I've chosen to make a general type of card.  This is a coordinating gift card and cute box combo!  I've used the Vanilla Notes Cards and Envelopes and combined with Lights Aglow designer papers.

To highlight the fabulous centre panel, I've punched some Sweet Sorbet using the Decorative Circle punch and then added a greeting from the Charming Sentiments bundle stamped using the Early Espresso ink.  I love the touches of gold and also the Crumb Cake stamping in the background.

The cute little box was created using the gorgeous Design a Treat Box dies and another of the great Charming Sentiments greetings.

This little treat box can fit one of my favourite chocolates - Lindt!!  What a great yummy gift package.

Colours to make you smile!! CTC#390

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything  or Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

This week, we are CASEING the Colours of the Santa's Express designer paper, which are happy and  bright and also traditional Christmas Colours.

I've used them with a fabulous stamp set for colouring - the Apple Harvest stamp set.  I've coloured the apples using Poppy Parade and Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.  The Leaves were coloured using Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends.    The apples and flowers were stamped using Evening Evergreen ink.

I've used the Mint Macaron for the card base, and also for the subtle stamping behind the apple - I love stamps like this that can hide any smudges or imperfections!  Can you see the subtle scoring on the edge of my card front?  I just scored a couple of lines using my trimmer and the scoring blade at half centimetre measurements.

The inside of the card repeats the front with the stamping of the flowers in Evening Evergreen and then colouring using Stampin' Blends.

I added some extra stamped flowers which I have fussy cut - I've actually CASED one of the cards featuring this stamp set on page 54 of your June to December Mini Catalogue.  My final touch is these gorgeous silver flowers which looks so pretty!!

Do you like these colours used on a non Christmas card?  Please let me know what you think.
Make sure you keep hopping around everyone to see all the great ideas using these colours!

Up next is the amazing Michelle - you'll love her project!!

Bundle Brilliance CTC#389

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn and our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING from pages 161 to 167 of our Annual Catalogue which feature our Bundles Collection.  And there's a bunch of great inspiration!!

I stopped at the first page - 161 and the project featuring the Brewed For You Bundle - I've CASED the layout, and the idea for using a bottle.

For my background detail I have some of the stunning Sun Prints designer paper which works well with my colour scheme of Starry Sky.  Placing this feature piece right on the left edge of the card is something I would never think to do ..... but I like it!!  And I was surprised I would when I decided to CASE this layout!!

I love the way the Vintage Christmas stamp set coordinates with the Vintage bottle punch.   I have adjusted the layout of the greeting though (from the one in the catalogue), as I wanted more of the bottle to show.  That's because I tried this cool technique of adding clear embossing all over the bottle to create a glassy surface - doesn't it look fabulous!!   I was inspired by Anna who used the same technique on her project here.

Inside the card features some simple stamping using the Very Best Occasions stamp set along with the Vintage Christmas stamp set (which I've used for a birthday card!!)

I hope you keep hopping around everybody to see all the amazing projects we share.

Up next is the awesome Michelle and her gorgeous butterflies

World Cardmaking Day celebrations blog hop

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in a fabulous Blog Hop to Celebrate World Cardmaking Day TODAY!!

One of the projects we made today at our event featured this marvellous bundle - Cottage Wreath, and I have paired it with the Santa's Express Memories & More Cards and Envelopes.  I've made cards in 2 different colour ways to show off these great cards!

The first thing I did was to fold my Santa's Express cards into a Z fold featuring the gorgeous printed cardstock on the front and inside the card (normally the cards are totally white inside, but I've folded them inside out!!!)

I've used Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Sweet Sorbet inks along with Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade cardstocks.

The finishing touches for both of my cards is some Linen Thread and Iridescent Rhinestones.  These 2 cards will be part of the projects in our Retreat Day in October.  Mostly they feature simple stamping with a couple of die cut elements under the greeting!!

I hope you're really enjoying our blog hop tonight!!  Make sure you keep hopping to see everyone's amazing projects!!

UP next is the awesome Sharon!! Enjoy.

Order on Tuesday, and receive FREE SHIPPING - 4th October
