Butterfly Bundle Inspiration CTC#473

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining the fabulous CASEING the CATTY blog hop!!  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING from the chapter featuring all our bundles.

My card is inspired by the gorgeous Sketched Butterflies Bundle on page 68.

My card features the lovely butterflies from the Labelled with Love bundle (which is actually on page 58), and I've used Azure Afternoon for the butterflies on the gold foil cards.

Inside the card are some more cute butterflies.  The little butterflies come from the Painter Lavender stamp set.

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots more great inspiration!!

Up next is the lovely Rochelle

More Funky fold inspiration for you

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in the fun with a blog hop celebrating cool folds!

My card has a fun curved front on it that enables it to stand up!

And It also folds flat to fit inside a standard envelope.

On the back of the card is somewhere for you to write to your recipient.

Because the card has the fun standing feature, I though it worked really well with the glorious Thoughtful Journey paper.

And then for the back of the card, I replicated the scenery using ink and blending brushes and a bit of water painter to smoosh the colour a little! The stamp set I have used is the Happiest Day stamp set.

And for the features on the front of the card I've used the Wanted to Say dies and silver glimmer paper.

I hope you like it!!  The measurements are:  14 x 10 cm scored at 7cm for the fold in the middle, and the longer strip on the front is 2cm  x 16 cm scored at 1 cm at each end to tuck under the layers.

Keep Hopping to see Cindy's great project!!nullnull

Tic Tac Toe Crafting inspiration!!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Today I'm joining some super awesome creative souls all from Australia, and we are sharing inspiration in our monthly blog hop!!

This month we have a fun Tic Tac Toe grid to get the inspiration growing!! I've gone from the top left to the bottom right in a diagonal line - 3D project, Favourite Stamp Set and Ribbon.

I have just loooooooved playing with the Country Birdhouse bundle!!  I've made lots of cards with the birdhouse on the front, but this time, I've made a little gift box which can fit a couple of little chocolates!

Most of the die cutting comes from the Country Woods and Country Lace designer papers which coordinate with the Country Birdhouse bundle so beatuifully.

I stamped and cut out the Birdhouse twice for the front and back of the box, and then die cut all the flowers, leaves and details from the same die set.

The little box measures 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm and is 6 cm high.  The cardstock for the little box was 9cm x 15 cm and scored at 3.5, 7, 10.5, 14 cm on the long side and 3 cm on the short side.

It's only a teeny little box, but sooooo cute!!

Make sure you keep hopping to see LOTS more GREAT projects!!

Take to the Sky CTC#472

Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining the amazing Caseing the CATTY team sharing inspiration from our catalogues.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are CASEING the Take to the Sky Suite on page 36.

My project was inspired by the card on the left with the fun diagonal line through the middle.  I've taken that a whole step further and used the diagonal feature for my greetings!!

I have used the So Swirly embossing folder for the background details and added some fussy cut planes from the amazing Take to the Sky paper.

Using images from paper really makes cardmaking quick!!

Inside the card is a fun greeting - the Adventurous Sky stamp set really has some super fun (punny) sayings!!

You can sse lots more to get you started on our Facebook Group page too.
