Berry Merry for TGIFC#20 challenge

Over at TGIF there's a lovely sketch challenge

which I've adopted for Berry Merry Christmas stamp set.  My background paper is from the English Garden DSP, and I've used some left over goodies from the To You & Yours shaker card project - that gold star there is from the inside of the stars on one of the cards!!  And the circle for the 'Joy' sentiment is recycled from the leftovers from the Tin of Cards kit - it's the reverse side of one of the greetings in french or german!  It's great to use up all the bits and pieces!  The little gold heart is also punched from the left over gold stars too.

Today's a great day to snap up a bargain!

Reason for the Season Get Well Card

I'm on the team at SUO!

I've used the greeting from Thoughts and Prayers for the Get Well Soon, but as I'm having a marvellous time enjoying the gorgeous flowers in Reason for the Season, this is my featured flower!!

I LOVE LOVE the beautiful three step watercoloured flower, and I REALLY love the fern stamps in this  set too.  Those 'ferns' are actually the vines of the leaves/petals for the Festive Flower Builder Punch which coordinates with the set (available in a Bundle too!!  Bonus!)

On my Get Well card I tried to move away from the 'Christmas' theme of these flowers, so I've used Crushed Curry, Tangello Twist, and Tangerine Tango for my flowers, with Old Olive leaves and ferns.  My base card is Vanilla - and I think this combination is very cheerful indeed!!!

So, have a go at creating YOUR get well card or gift and post it to the challenge!!

Baby Card Adventures

I've been having adventure creating baby cards - which is a challenge considering I own NO baby stamp sets!!

So I've been cruising around Pinterest for lots of amazing ideas!!  This is a cute little bib idea that I've seen on lots of sites!!  This card is inspired by Diane Burke.

This cutie uses this Tree Builder Punch for most of the punch art!!

And finally I tried to CASE another bib card from Linda Aarhus and you can see her lovely creation HERE

Mine in a teeny tiny card, but I have to admit, I think Linda's card is better!!!

I think I'll get back to my adventures in Baby Cards, and see what else I can come up with!!!

Let's Kit Together for CASEING the Catty!

This week at CASEING the Catty we are venturing into the NEW Holiday Catalogue - and ooooohh it is chock full of scrumptious new projects, ideas and fabulous new goodies!!!

Today's blog hop is stupendous!!  Whether you've started here with me (hello!) or you've hopped along from the great project of the Talented Tricia you will be blown away by the fantastic new kits and ideas in our Holiday Catalogue!!

I've decided to CASE the shaker cards in the gorgeous To You and Yours Shaker Kit - I have previously made up all the cards in this kit and you can see these gorgeous cards HERE.  I loved it so much, I've made another card with the left over glittery glimmer and used the Festival of Trees stamp set.

I've adapted the idea for the gorgeous printed vellum from the catalogue by using some silver foil vellum mounted over the top of Cherry Cobbler cardstock - and what a great Christmas colour this is!!

And with my left over tree that was punched out, I've decided to create a tag (inspired by the gorgeous Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit).  I created all these tags in this kit too - and it is marvellous!!!

To complete my project, I popped the tag onto a card with a bit of that delicious new holiday DSP!

Now its time for you to venture over to the marvellous project created by Helen, by clicking on this lovely 'next' arrow.
And if you get totally bamboozled, just hop on back to the CASEing the Catty blog to see the list of all the blog posts for the whole design team!!

Tin of Cards Baby

I don't have many 'baby' stamp sets, but I was recently asked to create a baby card - so here's a version that is quite simple.  And to help me with my creation, I've used some great inspiration from these challenges.

And if you click on each of the graphics you can go and check out the challenges, and I'm sure you will be inspired too!!

I've used the fun circle flip card thinlit for my base card, and then stamped a greeting and added it to my 2 1/2" circle shape punched from DSP.  All the little stars scattered over the card come from the confetti stars border punch - and I've used that lovely fine tip crystal effects to glue all those little guys on  with great results!

Reason for the Season for Crafty Boots

There is a lovely sketch challenge at Crafty Boots Challenge this week.

And so I've continued my fun with the Reason for a Season stamp set - after using it for scrapbooking recently (and you can see that project HERE, and for making an easel card too!(and you can see this project HERE)

This is a great sketch to use, and it really shows off that gorgeous flower! I totally loved the two step stamping with the flower head and then the leaves too.  And I really love the watercoloured "look" of the image too.

I hope you get to see all the awesome projects in the challenge!!

You're So Sweet lunchbox treat

This week over at The Paper Players, they are having a cool challenge!!

Now, I've just gone back and read it, and woops!  I think I've not quite done the right thing!!  Oh, well this is my sweet treat for my kids lunchboxes - not a little note, but a little pillow box to pop in a special homemade bikkie!!

I've used the vibrant Bohemian DSP and paired it with the gorgeous stamp set - you're so sweet!!  I used markers to colour the stamp - Bemuda Bay and Island Indigo to highlight those lovely sweet words!!

I know my girls will love it!!!

To You & Yours Shaker Cards Project Kit by Stampin’ Up!

Reason for the Season Scrapbooking

It's great to find lots of different uses for Stamp Sets isn't it!
This set - Reason for the Season - is actually a Christmas Stamp set, but here, I've used the floral images and the ferns in a generic sense to embellish my scrapbook page and enhance the lovely greenery in my photos.

The poinsettia images is a two stamp set (and there is also an outline image in the stamp set too, but I haven't used it today).  I stamped with Watermelon Wonder and Pear Pizzazz with a Delightful Dijon centre of the flower - pretty, don't you think?

The background for my photos is some pieces of patterned paper in neutral colours with a few pieces of watermelon wonder to add highlights.

We're doing this page at our class this week - this is a great layout for lots of photos!!!

All Ye Faithful

With the help of the Hearth and Home window thinlit I've tried to create a 'stable' for Mary and Joseph with their visitors on the outside.

I'm not really sure it has turned out the same way I had anticipated, but it looks ok.

I think the kings and shepherd are a little small to be in the foreground, but I really like the holy family inside the card.

I love this window thinlit - and will be trying lots more ideas!
