Colour INKspiration #27 LIght and Dark

Hello and Welcome to another AHMAAZING colour combination from the fabulous Colour INKspiration challenge team.
No automatic alt text available.

The colours this time are:  Powder Pink, Melon Mambo, Pool Party and Island Indigo.

I must disclose that Melon Mambo is my least favourite Stampin' Up! colour (I'm so not into pink!!)  However, doesn't it look stunning with the Sale-a-bration Heartfelt Blooms.

This card features the Eclipse technique which is very popular right now!  I've used the Celebrate You Sale-a-bration thinlits and also cut 4 more layers of Powder Pink of the greeting to make it stand out from the panel of the card.  I've used the Pool Party and Island Indigo for the mat behind the feature.  While I was creating this, I toyed with adding some Pool Party or Powder Pink ribbon, but in the end, the glorious detailed image is the magic all in itself I think!!

I hope you've been inspired by these great light and dark colours - lots of floral creations this time.  Make sure you hop over to see glorious cake by Nikki Spencer.

And please join in the fun by adding your project to our lineup on the Colour INKspiration facebook page.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

SUO Challenges #194 CASE a catalogue sample

Hello and Welcome to another wonderful challenge from SUO Challenges.

And our challenge this time is to CASE any project from a Catalogue.

And CASEING is one of my favourite things to do!!

This time I have CASED a super sweet project from our new Occasions Catalogue on page 30.

This lovely stamp set - You're Inspiring is just perfect for colouring with our amazing Stampin' Blends.  I coloured my first card exactly as per the Catalogue sample, and then adapted it a little for my second card.

I flipped the card on it's side and changed up the colours for these gorgeous flowers.

I really love the addition of the True Gentlemen Buttons and the linen thread.

I hope you've been inspired to join in the challenge with us!!  Check out the awesome projects in our Stampin' Up! Catalogues and CASE away, and then add it to our challenge line up!!

Make sure you check out all the wonderful projects for your inspiration from our design team line up, and then add your project to our challenge link!!

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,

CASEing the CATTY #165 - Sale-a-bration

Hello and Welcome to our fun Sunday Night Blog Hop challenge where we CASE the CATTY.

This week we are CASEING from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

No automatic alt text available.

And I have chosen to CASE the super gorgeous Tutti Fruiti Cards and Envelopes from page 14.

I've used all four different cards and cased the same image - using Bird Banter and watercolour pencils for my greetings and images.

The Tutti Fruit DSP works an absolute treat with these cards and all the colours are so fun and vibrant - just like the super cute parrots.

I've also combined the deliciously sparkly Sale-a-bration shimmer ribbon pack with my cards and some glimmer enamel dots.

All of the greetings with the set are just sooooo cute and funny.

I think this one is my favourite greeting - 'still looking suspiciously young I see'  - it makes me smile every time.

All of the papers and cards and the ribbon coordinate spectacularly well!

I hope you're being inspired all over again by our Sale-a-bration catalogue!!  Keep hopping and see lots more fantastic projects from the design team.
Up next is Remarkable Rachel and her divine floral masterpiece.

And please join in the fun with us and add your projects to our facebook challenge page here.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Perennial Birthday Project Kit for CTC#164

Hello and Welcome to CASEING THE CATTY Sunday Blog Hop!!

We love to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit from the Stampin' Up! catalogues, and by doing this we can share with you the amount of awesome inspiration available in these amazing catalogues!

No automatic alt text available.

This time we are CASEing Kits from the new Occasions Catalogue.

I have chosen to break open the wonderful Perennial Birthday Project Kit - did you know that it has 12 dividers and the months of the year so that this can be your box of cards ready to give for the whole year!!  How cool is that!!

This is the card from the kit - exactly as it is planned!!  Super easy to do and really cool for a guy.

So, armed with the inspiration from the kit card, I then set out to make an incredible 21st card for my son's bestie.  It looks pretty hectic and busy in the photo!!  This is not quite my usual style, but he's having a 70's birthday party, and this colour and style looks appropriate (I think? hehehe)

Elements that have been CASED are - the colours, Old Olive, Dapper Denim and a touch of gold and whisper white;  balloons with gold highlights coming from the fun Eastern Gold vinyl stickers;  and a diagonal feature in the background.

The stamp set I've used is the very cool Truly Tailored and coordinating Tailored Tag punch.  That groovy diagonal feature in the background is a piecing of the tag punch using gold foil and Colour Theory DSP.

As with all amazing and special cards, there is a fun coordinating envelope for this extra large size card.  It measures approximately 6" x 6" and the z fold is scored at 14cm and 22cm.

I hope you've been inspired to check out the FANTASTIC Stampin' Up! kits - they are totally brilliant for quick and easy crafting on the go AND they also have awesome colour coordinating ideas.  My go-to for when I have creative block is to get out a kit and create so that I don't have to do any thinking, and then I feel accomplished AND the creative juices start to flow a bit!!

You really need to hop all around this amazing design team, but now it's time for you to see this amazing kit idea by  the amazing Judy May.

And please join in the fun too - it's super easy to do by adding your photo to our facebook challenge page!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
