Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - celebrating ribbon!

Hello and Welcome to our Monthly Blog Hop featuring crafters from all over the world!  

This month, the spot light is on ribbon, and my card features one of the gorgeous sheer ribbons from a pack that features 3 gorgeous colours - Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and this Azure Afternoon.  

I've used the ribbon on a tag behind the tree from the Merriest Trees bundle.  

I've also tied the ribbon on the tag using some lovely metallic Parakeet Party ribbon.

Inside the card is some simple stamping.

From Balloons to Christmas - Caseing and giving a twist!! CTC#441

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty).

This week, the challenge was to CASE a project and give it a twist!!

My project inspiration comes from page 14 of the Annual Catalogue on the page featuring the fabulous Bright Balloons bundle - I've used this card for inspiration before - I must like it!!  

I've used a very similar layout with the tall centre piece, but my twist is to create a faux step card and to convert the card to a Christmas Card.  

I've used the gorgeous Shining Brightly paper punched using the 2 3/8 inch circle punch and then die cut the image from the Holy Night Dies from Boho Blue cardstock. The card base is Night of Navy to coordinate with the starry paper.

I've stamped stars with Wild Wheat ink (after stamping off once to make the colour lighter) from the Stars at Night stamp set, and the greeting comes from the Holy Night stamp set.

It's a bit hard to see but I've used the hybrid Stars at Night folder to add texture to the card behind the main image. And the little golden glittery star was cut using the AH MAZING adhesive backed gold and silver glimmer paper that's part of our Online Exclusive collection - just loooove this paper!! 

 

Inside the card is room for a greeting along with some extra starry stamping.  I hope you're inspired to have a go and changing up projects in our catalogue!! Up next is Rebecca with some more Christmas Inspiration for you.

Gelato Christmas

Hello and Welcome to another fun colour challenge!!  

We are a fun group sharing inspiration from great images which feature great Stampin' Up! colours

Check out these totally gorgeous colours this week!!  And the stunning image too! 

This is my Christmas Card making season, sooo, I've used these totally gorgeous and pretty colours for my Christmas tree AND I've featured some fun techniques using markers.  

The tree is white (our Christmas tree is white too!!  ) and I've added colour using the gorgeous baubles.  These baubles are actually a set of 3 on the same stamp BUT I used different markers to colour each bauble which gave me a bunch of cute decorations!!  

I also used a Lost Lagoon marker for the greeting - it actually the bottom half of an entire greeting (which I've used inside the card - you can see in the photo below) but for the front I only wanted the Merry Christmas - thank you to the markers which made it easy!

Finding inspiration from embossing folders CTC#440

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

This week, we are using the embossing folder projects to kick start the inspiration!!  

Did you notice this little Christmas Tree card on page 12 of the Mini Catalogue? Full disclosure - I did not know about this cool embossing folder that used in the project - it's the Christmas Tiding embossing folder and is featured on pages 32 and 33 - check it out!!  However, I didn't have THAT folder so I used the super gorgeous lovely Stars at Night folder for my background.  

And THEN, after I saw the lovely white on white effect (just like the inspiration card), I couldn't stop and created a white tree too!!  (Actually our Christmas Tree is white too! side note....)

I stamped using Shaded Spruce and the Merriest Trees bundle to create the fun greeting and the cool gifts under the tree.  The stars are from the totally gorgeous Stars at Night Hybrid folder which includes lovely dies AND the fabulous folder!! 

The stars and a couple of the gifts were die cut using the EXCELLENT self adhesive silver glimmer - no glue necessary - YAY!!  

I've also featured some gorgeous sheer ribbon and starry stamping from the Merriest Trees set again with Smoky Slate.
